Water Pump Condenser Unit for Hotpoint Tumble Dryers [Energy Class A+++]

well what can i say ....1 minute repair no moore noisy pump very pleased

Bought this after my existing pump impeller failed. I looked at replacement impellers, but this complete pump was not much more. It fitted quite easily, works perfectly.

Got this to replaces a faulty pump in my hotpoint dryer. The pump may look slightly diffrent to the one in the machine but fits great and works well aswell. No issues so far.

Really happy this worked for me was ready to throw away our hotpoint condenser dryer model h3d81gs away, this is not listed in the compatibility list for the dryer n description but still fit perfect , ours isn't even a year old . I watched a few videos on YouTube and this took about 15mins to dismantle , the top and side of the dryer popped off allowing the casing from inside to remove water pump plastic housing 3 screws and out it comes with 2 connecters then popped in the new one , all put back together no more awful grinding noise wife is happy too which is a double bonus. The photo in review shows the old style pump the new one looks deceiving but fits perfect . 😀

So the dreaded call came from my wife, “The tumble dryers not giving out any heat, think we need a new one!” Great I think to myself £250 just before Christmas! On inspection the drum appeared to be rotating correctly however the empty water light remained illuminated after the water tray had been emptied. I cleaned the filter and condenser along with the customary turning off and on of power! However the light was still on. Didn’t take too much digging to realise there was a drain pump and float assembly fitted to the rear, within is a microswitch, designed to cut off the heat if the water tank becomes too full, or in my case if the pump had failed! Really easy to replace, remove the two screws in the top panel, slide back and remove, then take off the 5 screws on the RH panel and slide out, (the pump and float assy is fitted to the lower RH side) carefully remove the clips and take off the pump and float assy cover, you should then be able to unclip and gain access to the pump and float assy, (take a photo for wire orientation!) Note your new pump will look nothing like your old one! Remove the two wires then unscrew the three retaining screws at the top of the pump, carefully unclip the Lower portion, you will find a central plastic mount, unclip and remove. Simply clip your new pump in place, refit the wires and refit all covers and panels!

Our 6/7 year old Hotpoint tumble dryer developed a very loud and annoying squeaking sound. After a bit of googling and some trial and error a I managed to narrow it down to the drain pump. Ordered it on the Thursday, arrived on the Friday and took minutes to replace. Done a few loads now and no squeaking. Wife's happy .
