I use my PS4 controller with my laptop for gaming but recently charging it has been a pain. I had to put the cable in at a silly angle and hold it there, wrap it round the pad several times and prop it up so it stayed in - ridiculous! This was dead easy to install. You open up your controller to see which part number you need, its fairly obvious which is which but they all have the number written on them. Take care not to damage the ribbon because you don't get a new one with this order but you do get 3 chips so you can repair a friend's pad.When you come to install it, you don't really need any fancy tools, the controller is held together with 4 cross-head screws and then some clips that need prizing apart. When you do this be careful not to damage the outside of the joypad because the plastic is quite easily scraped and is, in a lot of places, exactly where you hold it when using it normally so it will annoy you! (I speak from experience!) There is one more screw holding the little chip inside, pop the new on in place and put it all back together. It is fairly obvious which way round the ribbon attaches, plug this back in before mating the two halves and screw the back on again. Difficulty about 2/5, small Philips (cross-head) screwdriver neededDon't worry if some of the chips are stuck together in the envelope, they separate quite easily snapping apart by hand.
