Product and Support
What I disliked about the product was when I received it, it did not work. They replaced it with a new unit within 2 days. It has worked great, I used it to go camping as a light, charged a couple of phones and my radio. Good product and service.

Super handy for field service technician
The media could not be loaded. I've found this to be a very handy device for extending the life of a laptop and other small electronic test equipment when a power outlet is unavailable. I also have a larger battery power supply, but this one is more convenient to use if my needs are modest.I like that it takes standard batties that I already have. If I need a longer run time, I can just swap in another battery. It has an internal fan that comes on sometimes.I always unplug the battery when not in use because the switches for the light and inverter are too easily turned on by accident.I'd buy it again in a second if I broke or lost this one.It is not a "pure sine wave" inverter. That is not important for small loads that are likely to use a switching mode power supply.

useful with a disclaimer
I was impressed when I first tested the product. I did not expect it to work. Then I made the mistake of leaving it connected to a Makita batttery with both switches OFF. A couple of weeks later the battery was completely discharged and in fact could not be charged again by the Makita charger. I did not expect to have any current drawn when the two switches are OFF and when there is nothing connected to this product other than the Makita battary. IMO it is a bad design to have a circuit that continuously draws current from a Lithium-ion battery without some sort of a limit.Update Jan 2024: seller sent me an email with an option to request full refund. When I requested the refund they responded with something along the lines that one should expect the product to drain batteries when turned off and denied the refund. This prompts me to reiterate my warning to potential buyers to avoid the product and if they already have it, to refrain from leaving batteries in the product because the cost of a battery far exceeds the cost of this product.

Pretty good product.
Works well, but don't leave battery in unit when not in use. It completely discharged a full battery and was not turned on.

Adaptable
I have many different inverters. I thought I would try this just because I have a lot of Makita batteries, not knowing how it would work. It actually did fairly well. It would turn on a small household fan. I did not challenge it to see how long it would run for, but it did turn on and run. The length of time it runs for will probably depend on the quality of My Battery I would buy again

Higher wattage than most, battery cells are the limitation.
In my research, I find a Ryobi device can do 800 W if connected to 12V car battery but only 350W when run from "power tool battery". Analysis is that the 18650/21700 "cells" are the limiting factor, perhaps rated at "-20": 20 amps. So we see with newer "high output" batteries/cells the capacity increases.I think someone made a negative review that this would not do well with an "ancient low-output" battery with old 18650 cells, probably correct. Ancient batteries belong in the ancient tools they were designed for.

Not for me!
Im an industrial electrician and i use makita for most of my power tools. Had plenty of makita batteries laying around so i picked this up to sometimes you just need 120 really quick and the hassle of getting an extension cord and all that. It charges my phone it charges my speaker its okay for that anything like a angle grinder or or a dremel forget about it wont work. I bought it for work and when i needed it to get some work done it wouldn't kick on. Buyer beware maybe with a bigger 5ah 6ah battery wont do nothing with a 4ah. Ill keep in my box maybe one day it will serve me an actual purpose other than charging my phone.
