Works great!
I got these to strip rust off of a grill I had been given for free. The grill was operational but needed repair and had some rusty areas that needed to be fixed. These discs work quickly and are capable of easily stripping rust away to expose a smooth surface that is ready to be resealed or painted again. They are quite simply amazing, and I am so happy to have found them because they have saved me a ton of time and effort in fixing this grill. I’m also surprised at how well the disc I used is holding up. I’ve only put one to use so far; the pack comes with three, so I still have the others available for other projects.Definitely five stars! I have zero complaints! A++++, highly recommend.

3-Pack Electric Drill Stripping Wheels
These wheels are made to be used with an electric drill. You get 3 of them, and each one is 3-inches in diameter.Be aware, the black stripping material is tough and hard. I have an older backhoe I’m painting and I had a lot of rust on the wheel rims and body. These took it down to bare metal in very little time. They’re for coarse, not fine, stripping work. You can use them wet or dry.

Heavy duty feel but only for light projects
I don’t think these are meant for really heavy duty jobs though if you feel it, it feels like a heavy duty steel wool that you use to scrub off stubborn dirt from the bottom of pans. Obviously, these are attachments for electric or battery cordless drills to get it going. One thing to note is that it can easily scrape off rust but you have to be careful that it can go through light material easily and break them. I tried it on a pipe hanger that had developed rust and I want to refurbish it. I pushed too hard and grounded down a hole through it. I did it again on another part but this time making sure i didn't push too hard and I can say, it worked and it helped. This can feel to be a heavy duty accessory tool but I don’t think 3 will last on really hard stuff. I don’t do the heavy duty ones because I physically can’t so I just love to DIYer fixes. This is very helpful in things I want to do.Overall still a good accessory for light projects.

Speeds your painting preparation
I ordered these tools to speed my painting preparation; the package contains three wheels. The fibrous wheels contain an embedded abrasive and somewhat resemble stiff steel wool. You mount a wheel's 1/4" diameter shaft in a (not included) electric drill and use it like a grinding wheel; each wheel is very lightweight and is comfortable in use. The fibrous wheel quickly strips away paint and loose rust leaving a solid metal surface ready for repainting; my fibrous wheel showed no significant erosion at job's end, but I did not try grinding the metal down to a polished surface. And the 3" diameter 1/2" thick wheel is sufficiently small to reach most corner areas, minimizing the touch-up time spent using manual wire brushes.

Waste of money go with name brand.
All three pads wore away very quickly stripping paint. Just get the 3M brand product it lasts so much longer.

Works well
These paint stripping wheels attach to a standard drill. The synthetic mesh material of the wheel will remove paint comparatively easily from metal surfaces without marring the surface. However, these wheels will remove wood underlying paint on furniture or other painted wood surfaces. Probably not recommended for this purpose. I have used one to help remove rust and it performed fairly well since the rust was fairly superficial on a metal surface.

Paint Stripping Disc Drill Attachment
I ordered these for my restoration project, a 20 yr old vehicle. That said, I tried using this on a couple of parts, and they worked best to remove rust. As for the paint stripping, as long as you hit the part first with some stripping gel, it works, other than that it struggles a bit. Especially since this goes on a drill that you are holding. All in all, I recommend them for rust not for stripping paint.
