Q: Where are these made?

They're made in china. The cane they use isn't properly drained and dried. Many reeds come with greenish brown streaks. Not safe, imo, since cane absorbs the water where it grows, including all that's in the water.

Q: Is this a good reed for students

Not at all. Not one of my students ever sounded good with these... and even I can't make them sound good..

Q: Description includes other sizes, but how do you choose a different size than 2?
