Works great -- easy to install
This little water mister is super easy to install and works really well with my gas-fired forced hot air heating system. The directions are clear and easy to understand. The unit comes with a humidistat, like much more expensive units. Only two wires, neutral and "HUM," to connect to the HVAC controller and they just plug into the corresponding male spades. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED. It is truly super easy to connect the wiring. The water line is also easy if you have the skill necessary to install a valve on an existing water line. Every other wet connection is just press to connect. Once up and running, the mist works at least as well, if not better than, belt or pad type humidifiers. In my case, the was not room to install a traditional humidifier on the supply side, and I didn't want to install a bypass unit. The Digimister solved that issue with it's very small form factor. But don't let it's size fool you. Because its a directly inject mist going into the flow of hot air directly above the burners, it adds a good amount of humidity. An additional benefit is that the maintenance is much easier with the Digimister than other belt or pad humidifiers. It is also a percentage of the price of steam injection units, and does just about the same thing. Overall, a very solid unit that does exactly what it claims.

Great concept but flawed
I have it installed in a smaller furnace for a 1000 sq ft apt. I bought the filter and attached it to the hot water line hoping it would evaporate quicker. After tons of tests I got it to mostly work with only 3 nozzles and set the mist to start @ 118F. Even then I would get a little bit of water puddling on the bottom of my furnace. Part of the problem is that it starts misting @ 118 but it won't stop until 107 and many times my furnace blower stops before that or just after so basically it sprays until the blower stops which is not ideal. If it would stop @ the same temp it starts then I would have a few minutes of hot air blowing the mist out and drying my duct while the temp cools down. I would much rather start the misting around 110-112 but I tried and it would not shut off till about 98. Also, you have to check the nozzles every once in a while as they sometimes start streaming instead of misting. Disassembling them and cleaning them helps and so does messing around with the water pressure but no matter what I do, I can't seem to stop the water from running down to the bottom of the furnace. With 3 nozzles the best I can get in Colorado is about 36% humidity. I tried with 5 and was very happy @ around 48% but the puddle got bigger fast and I worry about ruining my furnace. My other option is to run the blower 24/7 so when the nozzles stop misting @ 107 degrees the warm air keeps pushing through and drying the ducts but it's annoying to have it running all day. Great idea for tight furnace closets that can't use a regular humidifier but very difficult to calibrate just right.

humidity everywhere
excellent features and functionality for the price.Since installation I've been able to stop using my room humidifiers and the house stays at the desired 35%RH now with three of the spray nozzles installed.Another reviewer stated all of the nozzles sprayed a stream instead of a mist. The product came with 7 nozzles, a test fixture, a cleaning tool and clear instructions to test and clean all nozzles before installing them.Of the 7 I got, only one sprayed incorrectly and one cleaning resolved it.I do wish the module had some sort of remote monitoring and control since it's in my downstairs crawlspace but for the time it's been installed it's been set-it and forget-it.I should have installed this long ago.The only scary/hard part was cutting into the ductwork sheet metal, and that wasn't even that troublesome.

Good concept, poor execution
Only thing good about this is that it was delivered earlier than expected. Other than that, it sucks. The concept is good but it will cause a swamp in your furnace. The misters only mist sometimes and most of the time they shoot a stream of water which doesn’t evaporate and causes water to puddle. Install was easy for somebody in the trade but an average homeowner will most likely have to hire somebody.

Great customer support from Unisys Tech Team
My house was very dry from the forced hot air heat and I had a small area to install the more traditional humidifier types. Also, had a small duct area to accommodate spray jets for my larger home area. The Unisys Team helped me setup the system to accommodate my situation. They helped me with connection to ‘HUM’ signal in furnace, in line filter, setting water pressure, suggested using hot water, number of jets, cleaning jets, locating humidistat in return duct, and best location for mounting the unit to best serve the multiple heat zones. The observation window is reassuring the unit is operating properly with no excessive moisture.I am very satisfied with the raised humidity, adjustability, using little water, and unit cost less than other humidifiers.John

Great unit. Amazing customer service
So. I got this unit in and installed it. The unit did not work. I had power and water going to it but mist would not come out of the jets. I called customer service and they returned my call in just a few minutes. We did a bit of troubleshooting but the unit was apparently defective. A new unit wash shipped out the same day and when it arrived, I installed it and it fired right up. There is a definite increase in humidity in my home compared to me previous humidifier. In summation, this is a very good furnace humidifier backed by superior customer service and communication.

Pretty Solid design
Was easy to install and worked great for about 3 weeks. It now appears that the solenoid valve is bad. Called customer service and they say they'll have a replacement valve to me in a couple days. Will update when it arrives.Update: took 2 days for the new solenoid to arrive and was very easy to replace. The coil was open on the solenoid so i removed the coil cover to find there was corrosion inside. My degree from the U of YouTube taught me to put a little silicone around the wires and cover screw on the top of the solenoid. Other than that its a pretty solid design.
