Perfect for moddeling
As with all fiber optic it is brittle, it is the type of fiber optic that sends light all the way to the end without lighting the whole fiber but is made from a plastic material so can easily be sanded or filed to make parts of its length illuminate, also showing the end a flane for a secobd melts it into a dome shape nicely which is perfect for moddeling a lense on a light

Suits my needs
Not great optical quality but works well enough for my purpose, as a light-pipe to bring LED indicators inside an enclosure to the outside world.
