Does What It Says
It does what it says and does it well. You will need a two pin to 3 pin plug adapter those.

An astute observation.
The Proxxon Mains adapter is an excellent & robust product but I feel that I must make a couple of observations which might be useful to potential buyers.1) The advertising picture on Amazon & also on the box shows the mains adapter with an attached 12V drill, this is misleading as I could find no reference either in the write-up or on the box that this is not included - so be aware.2) The mains plug is a Continental 2 pin plug and therefore needs an adapter for UK usage. I was under the impression that these need to be fitted as standard for use in the UK.But none the less apart from both these recoverable observations I#m very pleased with the product itself.

What this does and how - Proxxon products are very good, sellers not so good on descriptions
I have a tool useful for my class, the description and the pictures provided are not indicative - I had to buy several items, I discovered not all were suitable and one shall be returned while I have changed my working plan to suit the remainder. I am now able to choose the correct tool to partner my power box with, hoping the description will be accurate to avoid further problems.

Good replacement for Minicraft
If your like me and used to use Minicraft transformers which i find almost impossible to get now, this along with the 12 volt drill is a very good replacement, it works really well and is equal to the Minicraft Transformers
