I think you could probably use the items that come in the kit on your own thing. We had some of the stuff left over and we've used it on other school projects.

It includes the glue and the mixing kit and paints, water and rocks. You provide the newspaper and base to build it on

Yes the set includes everything except for the base. Which you can use a cardboard box as a base. Don’t fall for the overpriced glorified base on here or at a crafters store
