Okay Product!
This is a decent product. Picture quality is okay but I wanted a heavy option to stay on the desk but this adapter kept lifting up which was annoying. I would look for something studier if this will bother you. Overall it is a decent product.

Works as advertised if devices FULLY power down
Took a while to get auto switching working between always-on security cam feed and xbox. Found only way to make things work was to do a 'full shutdown' via the Xbox settings menu. Even with xbox shutdown options set to the eco / lowest power setting (as another review suggested), shutting down 'normally' didn't work. Don't necessarily consider this a fault of the product, as the cam system isn't on the list if supported items, but there may be competing products that would work as I'd hope.

Pretty good but could be better
I've used this with an Xbox Series S and a custom gaming PC with a RTX 3080 Ti installed. It's pretty good, but it could better. Compared to other HDMI 2.1 switches I've used, this has trouble keeping a consistent signal sometimes, and worst case scenario, can blank screen the source at the worst possible time(like mid battle on Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, for example). The auto switching is nice, but that's largely handled by HDMI CEC, not the switch itself. Also, I'd like to see 3 input or 4 input version of this, as that would allow for all of the newest gaming devices to be connected at once. I recommend this, but with some caution. The signal dropouts badly need to be fixed.

Solid video connection; auto-switch works sometimes
Able to connect an XBox Series X and PS5 at the same time and the video signal is solid for each at 4K/120/HDR (PS5) and 4K/120/VRR/HDR (XBox). The auto-switching works sometimes, but is not completely reliable (sometimes when powering on a device, even if the other device is off, it will not switch the powered-on input). So, you should treat the auto-switch as a nice bonus, but if it is critical for you, then I can't recommend.Update: I am now using a dedicated power adapter (instead of USB port on the Xbox) to power the switch and I have set my Xbox to go to the lowest power mode when it is turned off. WIth these changes, I find auto-switching is close to 100% reliable.

It Just Works
This product works exactly as advertised. I had purchased a switcher beforehand that I thought would automatically switch but it needed a button pressed. This one actually does it by itself. I use it for gaming on an xbox series x and for computer use with my mac. After i turn one off I can turn on the other and the hdmi automatically switches. I have it connected to a 4k 60hertz monitor and it has zero lag. Xbox gameplay is exactly the same quality and refresh rate as if it would be plugged in to the back of my monitor. Perfect for monitors with only two hdmi ports or for people who don't want to press buttons to switch. Also it works with the monitors auto-wakeup when hdmi is detected.

JTECH-8K42A Garbage after high hopes.
I had high hopes for this as it solved 2 of my problems. Some times I output from my PS5 to my PC monitor and sometimes to my tv. This would keep me from switching cables all the time also would let me output my PC to either display. The other thing is I wanted to use it as an audio extractor since my monitor doesn't output surround over toslink (optical) only stereo. If only it worked... Well I got it all setup and it did output 4k60 but the product page says all over it that it supports 4k120. When I switch the output to 120hz the video signal dies, even after shutting everything down and powering on the switch first as suggested in other reviews. I tried with multiple displays, multiple sources, and brand new hdmi 2.1 cables as well as known good THICK cables. The poorly written manual states that there is an HDMI 1.4 compatibility mode, and I guessed maybe it was some how in that mode and as such unable to output to 4K120hz, but when I held the A/B buttons down for greater than 3 seconds as stated in poor english the lights did not flash to indicate a mode change. I tried different (longer and shorter) durations of button press to no avail. This brings me to problems with the way this business markets this product and generally does business. When I went to the website to find this product it didn't appear in their product lists as you can see on the screenshot above, and the only way I could find it was doing a google search and linking back to the site. The manual on the site is not revised to fix the poorly written on that comes with it. Also all over the product page they make a big deal about how this product was designed & engineered by them in TX in fact it is printed on the bottom of the product it's self. If you do a quick search however on Amazon for hdmi 4x2 matrix switch you will see a bunch of other products that look EXACTLY like this one down to the exact same remote only difference is what is printed on the housing. My guess is they buy a massed produced Chinese model and put their name on it. Kind of jives with why it isn't in their product list on their site. I mentioned that the manual isn't so great... It is full of strange wording choices, grammar errors, and even missing spaces between words in several places. More frustrating though is the missing information in the little manual. For example it states what the limitations are when you are in "matrix mode" however it does not anywhere in the manual state how to swap it in and out of matrix mode. I have a guy who for years until 1 year ago was a professional home theater installer coming over tomorrow to check it out before I pack it up and send it back to Amazon. I will update this review if anything is discovered. He did state though that "Yeah we used those alot when I was doing av.... alot of time they were defective" and "Yeah pretty much ... those things are cheap and you definitely pay for what you get... a true video matrix cost 1k+ ... those work but you will go through 5 before you find one that last a year" so I no longer have high hopes for getting this working.

Auto Switch Works
So far so good. Was hesitant since there weren't any reviews yet, but decided to take a chance and it works as advertised. Tested it on my PS5 and Xbox Series X and all the settings show that everything works. Auto switch works perfectly, tested it various ways and I have both consoles set to switch to their designated inputs when I'm using an app on my TV. The device is small and you can either power it through HDMI or use the provided micro USB (which I had to use to fit how I wanted to use it). Will be testing various games soon, and I'll update again if anything changes.Update: Figured out why autoswitch wouldn't work after turning my TV on and off, it was because I had the USB cable plugged directly into the TV. Now that it's plugged into an outlet, problem solved. For consoles, have CEC/Device Link options turned on for both with the options to turn connected devices off when TV turns off unchecked/disabled.
