Farewell cheap printers!! A new era has dawned
After having suffered the typical 50 pound printers all my life, which take a million years to print a hardly acceptable quality page by using 2 quid of ink every time, I started to need a better quality printer for working at home. It's been worth every single penny. The highlights of this one are the possibility to print and scan A3, wifi connection and reasonable ink price. I found hard to justify the investment in a colour A3 laser printer and I'm glad that I didn't go for that, as it would have been definitely overkill for my needs. The printer is quite bulky, pay attention to the dimensions if this could be a problem. For the rest, very recommended product.

For the money, I'm amazed at what you get.
I needed an A3 printer for my work (print CAD drawings) so I bought this machine. I don't do much printing, and this is the first printer I've bought in about 15 years.I think it's amazing. It reminds me of big office printers to use. The scanner works well, the touch screen is brilliant and easy to use, it holds loads of paper in the two trays (one A4 the other A3) prints nicely. It does double sided printing, it's wireless, you can print from a phone, it's easily detected and installed. The only downside is the tiny ink cartridges that they supply and possibly the running costs of an ink jet if you're going to use it a lot. But, honestly, for the money, I'm amazed at what you get.

Excellent Print Quality
This replaced an HP that was the worst printer I have ever had because it designed to use HP paper and refused to work with anything else. The Epson was a little more difficult to set up and get to recognise the network but once done it is a joy to use. The print quality is excellent and printing A3 photos gives a very professional finish with no hassle at all. I just wish I had dumped the HP sooner, mark you It gave me great satisfaction to throw it into the recycling skip!

Fast with quailty prints
Excellent printer.I've seen previous reviews complaining of slow printing pick up (download). I have not experienced this at all. The sheet feeder for scan/copy is rapid. You just have to get used to the different layout of the scan menus etc. from earlier Epson printers.Cons: It's big, but then if you want A3 printing the footprint is going to be big.Pro: Quick, very good value, removable ink cleaning tray (longer do you have to throw the printer away when its full)Would I recommend it - Yes.

Outstanding Printer. After a few short prints it continual jams. ignorant technical support.
This has been the worst printer I have ever purchased. I went for a bigger printer because my epson experiences were great. This one has been a failure because of the constant paper jamming. Had to involve the online support which initially was a good service but the engineer refused to listen to the symptoms and left without fixing my printer. The follow up was incomplete and I am left with a device which is faulty and out of warranty because of current situations.I will avoid epson in future as their printers are good when they work and terrible when they fail. I hoped for more from them as I am a disabled user. I find it difficult to move this print around, the technician didn't take any notice of this.I really don't know why I am updating this review. I guess to warn people of the experience I have had. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.its really shame as it's likely something which can easily be fixed by epson.

Suits My Purpose
I haven't had this long but, up to now, i'm very pleased with it. To begin with, it is quite big. Think of a 2 foot cube and you won't go far wrong. Taking delivery, unpacking, carrying upstairs and siting in a suitable place, did leave me a little puffed to say the least. So another pair of hands is definitely recommended. It needs open space at the front, for obvious reasons, with occasional access to the rear, to help clear any paper jams, fingers crossed. After saying all that and viewing many larger and much more expensive machines, i'm happy with my purchase. I found the setting up of this very straightforward, for which i was pleasantly surprised, having had a different experience with a relative's Epson. My main reason for buying this, is to make use of the A3 capabilities. What i always look for, as well as checking reviews etc. is the cost of the inks. Mutiple ink systems are a must, for me anyway. While i know, all 'genuine inks' without exception, are grossly over priced, i have found compatible ink sets for this at a very reasonable cost. I also know that the warranty is void by using a non Epson ink. The way i look at it, if the printer lasts for more than a year ( the usual warranty cover ), what i save on the ink will pay for a new one anyway. For what this All-In-One A3 printer provides :- wireless printing, copying, scanning and fax ( does anyone use the fax these days? ), it suits my needs and i would recommend it.

Expensive Machine in the long run, looks nice, probably more for an office than home.
The printer is overall ok, but I will highlight some things. First, it is very big which I knew but wait till you see it in place, the size is approx 2 hand luggage suitcases. The scanner is good (A3) but really really slow, can take sometimes 1minute for an A4. The print quality is ok, don't expect much from this type of printers, the problem is the cartridges of ink as pricey and using the cheaper substitutions apparently voids the warranty. Being able to change colors at will was appealing at first, but soon you realize that the colors need to be mixed to produce "other" colors, so you always need the 4 color cartridges to be full. I believe that only the black ink can be 27XL, the color ones are only 27. The software that comes with the device is really annoying, does it job but feels old and clunky and you get lots of different annoying programs with alerts about your ink. In terms of sound I wouldn't say it is noisy. In terms of speed of printing, it certainly takes a bit more time than a laser printer.
