DOES WHAT IT SAYS
***DVI OUT/SOURCE TO VGA MONITOR ONLY***I learned the hard way monitor connectors are only unidirectional and some sellers hide that fact. BewareSecond monitor for old Dell monitor to a new 2024 tower. Dell monitor had VGA or dport inputs. My only other tower outputs we're hdmi or dvi. If you look for proper connections a hdmi out to dport in are unidirectional and expensive. Ive never used dvi out but i decided to try this.Everything works great, easy to install, connectivity is as it states, it fits both DVI setups, and most importantly it is inexpensive. Highly recommend it if you're stuck with minimal options with the older monitors

decent cable
I bought two of these cables, one for me and one for my sister, and in short only one work. I'm too lazy to return it for a refund so I'm just going to keep it. Quality wise, for the one that works it works great, just hope that you get a functional one when you order from here.

Great for second monitor (DVI) where first monitor is working HDMI
This product worked. I had my doubts because my "add in" video card has a HDMI and a DVI port. The HDMI port out drives a 1080 HD monitor and the DVI port out drives a VGA low resolution monitor. However, they both work in tandem which is what I wanted. They work off the same video card just different ports. I doubt they will work in tandem if different cards are used. Meaning one HDMI card and a separate DVI card.
