Q: I am booting to windows on my ssd. will i be able to get the fan working?

Hi sir, You will need to install the shell script to make the cooling fan run, please refer to: https://wiki.geekworm.com/X-C1_Software We can manually run the following commands: sudo python /home/pi/x-c1/x-c1_pwm_fan_control.py Then the pwm fan will start working. best regards, Cindy/Geekworm

Q: Does the x-c1 adapter board act the same as a x735 board or are they two completely different things? (pwm, safe shutdown, ups support?, etc)

Hi friend, Please note the X-C1 adapter board is different form x735 board. 1. Both X-C1 adapter and x735 board support safe shutdown function. 2. The X735 has auto power on function and X-C1 v1.3 version does not have auto power on function, and X-C1 will update with auto power on function in the next version. 3. Both X-C1 adapter and x735 board does not support UPS function, about UPS function, please refer to UPS board like X708, X728, X706. 4. Both X-C1 adapter and x735 board support PWM cooling fan. Q: Is there an easier way to take out the sdcard than to unscrew the back panel? otherwise, it's flipping awesome!

Q: What are the difference between this and the naspi-lite?

The biggest difference is the SATA interface adapter for mass storage. The Lite version doesn't have that physically or electrically. That makes the Lite smaller and less capable. I have both versions and they are meant for different purposes.
