Withings Activité Steel - Activity and Sleep Tracking Watch

I love it. Simple as that. Does what it says. I had a Jawbone Up3 due this and it died within 6 months from regular use. I have previously purchased the Withings Smart Scale and the BP monitor. Both of these also work great. Setup was simple... I sync to my phone and my tablet. I live the simple design and the absolute ultimate... Battery is said to last 8 months. I have recommended it to many friends.As for one of the reviews below about scratches glass. I am careful with my things and I do construction. I have purchased a screen protector that is applied similar to tint on a window with soap and water. So.. Get that also if you are worried.Update January 2nd, 2018. Still going strong. Keeps my steps and my sleep. Nothing to complain about. One of the better purchases I have made...My only issue is it takes 3-4 minutes to acquire with bluetooth sometimes but its not a dealbreaker. Just leave the BT on, and check it later on and see if it sync'd. Most I have gone without syncing it is 3 days and it still delivers all the information.

Just received this and it's an upgrade to my trusty activite pop. I don't want smart notifications from Facebook or whatever as I have a perfectly good phone and tablet for that, I just want an accurate watch that is comfortable to wear, is sturdy, looks good and records basic activities and the activite ticks all the boxes.Even though this is similar to the pop inside, it oozes quality, the band feels ultra comfortable, being far less stiff than on the pop. The buckle and watch are all made of steel and hence are allergy resistant which is a big plus. The tracking dial and pointer is white whilst the watch hands are silver, placing emphasis on the tracking aspect.The whole thing oozes quality.It syncs and updates perfectly and simply and have had no issues with connectivity so far.Just on first impressions, I'm wowed!!!!Will update in a few days after I've had chance to record some activities.Update.I'm absolutely blown away by this thing!!It's soooooo comfortable and extremely accurate! Loving it to bits.If you want a decent watch and activity tracker without all the unnecessary app alerts etc then this is ideal. The low maintenance, ease of use, looks and feel make this a no brainer!!!Gutted man!?!! Just noticed my watch is now £15 cheaper!!!!

Purchased this watch to compliment the Withings Cardio Scales, on the plus side the Active Steel Watch is comfortable to wear and one of the best looking activity watches available on the market. However, on the negative side as a timepiece the watch face is very difficult to read as the hour marks blend into the background colour of the watch face and therefore checking the time can only be achieved in bright light conditions. In addition unfortunately as for measuring your Sleep or Activity during the day the watch is totally inaccurate, often confusing the data from one day with another, resulting in it reporting 10 hours sleep on one day and no sleep on the next. In this regard the watch is very disappointing especially in terms of accurately measuring sleep or your daily activity, (which of course is the main purpose of this type of watch). Not recommended!

Editing the review after having the watch for a year:Great watch, works perfectly. Takes a while to connect/sync with the phone. If you have a bluetooth headset connected sometimes it syncs sometimes it doesn't. Even if you have bluetooth on all the time, sometimes it doesn't sync on it's own and sends you a push notification, other times it does,The glass is very scratch susceptible. From day to day use I managed to have 2 "thick scratches" on it and a few thing ones.The battery life is as promised. Only swapped the batter after about 10 months.Step and sleep tracking work great.4/5 because the glass is bad and now my watch is ugly...Other little things:A bit of water damage/wear and tear around the rim of the glass. The watch face is a tiny bit off compared to the watch hands. The 12 o'clock mark is not perfectly aligned with the hands which "ticks" me off.The metal body is very scratch susceptible.For the price it's a good smartwatch, would definitely improve the quality of the materials.

I bought this watch as I wanted a watch to wear every day, and I did quite fancy a smartwatch. However, I wanted to remain analogue as I just generally prefer it. It arrived promptly and as described, and it looks absolutely fantastic, I was worried about the rubber strap, however it is a high quality one and therefore I won't be changing it for a leather one as I had planned. The step counting dial is a fantastic feature, but the Withing app is great, it syncs fast, looks good and lets you log lots of data such as weight, activities etc. The sleep tracking is also quite good too. The best thing about the app for someone who is quite sad like me is the graphs it creates, these give a fantastic picture of what you've done. As of yet, the watch has not scratched or leaked, and it's had a relatively harsh treatment. If a subtle yet good looking smartwatch is what you're after, then this is definitely the way to go.

Watch is okay, looks nice but nothing spectacular.Lasted around 12 months before started losing time every day or so. Contacted Withings who mentioned its under 2 year warranty and to contact Amazon. Initially they refused to help and tried to palm me off to the seller. After a long argument they finally agreed to a refund, but refused to replace itWould not use amazon for anything of value again. And would not trust them to honor their word.Unfortunately a poor product from a dodgy amazon. Look elsewhere.
