Principles of Horticulture: Level 2

Perfect for RHS level 2 plants course. I already had a copy of the 4th edition, so I was very dubious about paying almost £25 for this. But it is completely different, the early edition covers a much wider subject area, and is not so well laid out. This 2015 edition is very well structured and is arranged to tie in exactly with the RHS course syllabus. So happy I chanced it!

Great book for the level 2 RHS exams, some extra reading may be required however for more depth of knowledge - but I haven't taken the exams yet! Covers all of the basics in a very accessible way for even the complete beginner

Definitely worth the cost. an invaluable tool. an horticulturalist's bible and particularly useful if you're completing an RHS Level 2 course. Excellent quality and valuable.

Excellent content! Great if your doing a level 2 in horticulture. Great images and illustrations and covers a lot of the syllabus. Definitely a must for me doing the RHS level 2. HOWEVER I have to point out that the style in which it is written is a bit wordy and not edited enough by the publisher. There are small spelling mistakes and the content isn’t written in the most efficient or logical order. Saying that, it will work perfectly if you don’t care about that sort of thing. Just felt I had to at least point it out.Contrary to the other reviews I must say the companion website is great! I use it via my phone and it feels modern and have further links for reading and some self-testing questions that can be downloaded.I feel that the authors of this book have done a great job and put a lot of passion into writing this publication! I just wish the editor/published would have taken a little more time to aid in the production of this book. Then it would get a 5/5

I'm studying the RHS Level 2 course and bought this book to accompany it. I love it. The book is beautifully laid out with lots of excellent, clear diagrams and photo examples. I can't honestly can't recommend this book highly enough.I'm 33, went to uni and I had never read an entire text book cover to cover until this one. It makes quite a complicated subject enjoyable and easy to understand. I'll be referring back to it and have learnt so much.If you're interested in gardening and want to understand why and how things in the garden work, this is for you.

Great introduction to study in professional horticulture, takes me back to studying biology at school, but much more interesting! Hopefully will help me through my RHS exams, looks like a great level 2 resource!

Easy to read. Great for introducing me to concepts covered in the RHS level 2 certificate.
