I installed this one week ago.My nuisance calls have reduced from at least five per day to one (which I blocked immediately) during the whole week.It could not be simpler to install, and worked immediately, and there is a video on YouTube showing exactly how to do it. The only confusion was that I thought the blue light round the "block now" button should be on permanently, but it only illuminates during an active call.The unit is about 125mm wide diameter and 25mm deep, so unobtrusive. We have a 4 phone hands free system with a base station and three remotes. The Shield must be connected to the base station. However, unwanted calls can be blocked from any handset by pressing #2 to add the blocked number to the memory. Generic unwanted calls such as "International" or "Withheld" can be blocked by entering a code using the base station handset. If you block all "Withheld" numbers you will need to tell genuine callers such as doctor's surgeries so they can enter a prefix to allow their call through. It is all covered in the instructions.

So far so good. I had one call sneak through and found that the extended codes documented to add blocked numbers are not usable on my Virgin Media DECT 'phones. The only way to block a call is to run to the base station and press the 'BLOCK NOW' the feature of #2 on a DECT handset isn't workable. Support were good and explained that Virgin pass less power through their lines than BT which means that only parallel connection of the Call Blocker will work at all. This should be made clearer in descriptions of the product.

I've gone from receiving about 3 unsolicited calls every week, down to 1 every 3 weeks. Each new person that calls, seals their fate as their number gets added to the list of blocked callers. The only real sources are: 1) scammers resort to using fresh mobiles on a frequent basis, 2) foreign companies using auto-diallers from fresh international numbers to harvest working numbers and pass them to... 3) UK-based scammers who keep having to get fresh numbers. At least it's greatly reducing my annoyance, while costing them time and money, which can only be a good thing.

The CPR call blocker shield is very neat and simple to use product. It comes with everything you need to install in the box, including simple and comprehensive instructions, blocking unwanted calls is as simple as pressing the 'BLOCK NOW' button. The button glows blue when a call is active, which makes it easy to identify if you need to permanently block a time consuming pest or potential scammer. I have recommended the call blocker to a couple of my elderly neighbours, who although subscribed to the TPS are still getting many, intrusive, threatening, and unsolicited cold calls every week.The 2000 pre-loaded numbers are clearly up to date and work well, as since installation, I've not had a single unwanted call. This product works with any UK landline, so if you're a KC customer there's no problem.I wish I'd bought one years ago.

We have BT DECT phones with call blocker built in. However, we have used up the limited number of blocks we can make. So, bought this as additional blocker. WOW, took husband minutes to set up, unobtrusive and it works. Immediately number of times phone rang reduced, and then we had one of those nuisance calls, pressed the red button and hey presto it was gone. Yesterday we had a whole day of total peace and quiet, no bothersome calls. Brilliant. Delivery was excellent, almost next day, so easy to set up, it works and we are very happy. Thank you.

My 93 year old nan was receiving 3 or 4 unwanted calls a day from scammers pretending to be her bank. We told her just to ignore and hang up but this still caused her a lot of stress. I ordered the CPR call blocker which arrive next day on prime, installed in under a minute and told her about pressing the big red button to block calls. I also entered the block with held number code very easily. 3 days on she has received no unwanted calls without even having to press the block button. Clearly the scammers were with holding their number so are automatically blocked. What a great bit of kit that has stopped an old lady being stressed at the hands of cold calling scammers. Just a quick note to those who have cordless phones: the instructions say that a blue light comes on when connected properly. This only happens when the phone is picked up and you hear the dialling tone or have accepted a call. So don’t think it’s not working. All is fine.

I bought this for my father who is now 80 years old and gets a lot of unsolicited calls that really upset him and he feels like he doesn't want to answer his own phone anymore.... In steps CPR Call Blocker. Just linked the the call blocker and the phone with the cable provided and that was it.. It's now been over a week an no unwanted calls... It has 2000 numbers already in its memory and you can just push one button if one of the unwanted callers get through, and as if by magic it's the last you hear from them.Honestly, just buy this amazing product.. You won't regret it.

Very disappointed, disgusted even with their after sales service. I had been using this since September and worked fine then suddenly a few weeks ago started blocking all calls even though nothing had altered with my set up. I tried all their suggestions, line worked fine without it but when I plugged it in no calls could get through. I was asked to send it back and was told it would be replaced but they have now told me nothing wrong with it and it is being returned. I need a call blocker so do they seriously think I would waste my time or theirs if it was working. Their comments are not to be relied upon.
