USB to LAN Ethernet Network RJ45 Adapter

It WORKS... did not expect it to work but good to go (at 10/100 Mbps not 1000Mbps). Win 10 after windows downloaded the driver YEP!... Rpi Zero again YEP no probs. Brill. Comes with a mini CD, didn't try it didn't need it. Always good for the tool box, alongside my expense one. Plastic case will come apart if persuaded for project box but push fits back together nice and tight.Update: I am purchasing another one of these, yes they are not the faster but for MQTT on RasPi perfect and have been reliable for 6 months.

I deliberately waited a while before writing a review as very low cost items sometimes fail quickly. I'm happy to say I have used this every day for three weeks and it has performed flawlessly. What surprised me more than anything is that it worked out of the box with Ubuntu (14.04.1 LTS) which I didn't expect.One thing to bear in mind is that you won't get the same speed as you would if you plugged directly into the computer's RJ45 port.For example the speed through my computer's RJ45 port (when it worked) was 40Mb but it's only 6Mb through the adapter. As it's plugged into a computer mainly used for browsing and catch up TV it's perfectly adequate.Update: Today I needed to use this on a PC running Windows 7 and I'm glad to say I was able to load the required driver from Windows Update with no problem.

I have an Acer S3 ultraslim laptop running on linux (Ubuntu 11.04) without any LAN port. So, it only worked with WIFI. But I always wanted to hook it on to wired network when at home for faster communication. So when I found this product in the amazon site, I was bit hopeful and also bit skeptical - will it work on linux, does it require any drivers, will there be any drivers for linux and so on ....Then looking at the price, I took a gamble. But after I received the adapter, to my surprise, it worked perfectly in linux and does not need any drivers.Amazing product......

I'm giving this product a mixed review.It had little instructions on what to do, and after enterring the setup disk there was an error during setup.The product didn't work several times before finally kicking in.Wouldn't recommend as mine seemed faulty...but finally fixed my internet!

works as it should but note IT IS NOT FOR THE NINTENDO WII which is what i bought it for. however testing it on a computer it works perfectly, however remember you will only reach the speed of the USB.

Not what I thought it was but gave me a whole new way to network other machines in the house so in a way quite happy. I just didn't think the discription was very good.

This little adapter saved the day with my old computer and got me back online again. This product represents excellent value for money.
