All is cool (icy even...) so far
I did wonder at the time whether or not I could justify paying upwards of a tenner for an ice cube tray, but now having used the product for a few months, I can say without hesitation: "worth every penny".Having incorporated breakfast smoothies into my routine late last year, I had bought a couple of cheap and cheerful ASDA cube trays, 2 for £1. As proved to be the case though, they were cheap in the bad sense of the word, and quite the opposite of cheerful (one even snapped in half on first use!)Onto the search for something better, and it wasn't too long before I'd made my mind up, helped along by reviews on here. The product is bigger than I expected it to be - arriving in classy, high quality though minimalist packaging (that's the actual product, not the ridiculously oversized box Amazon deemed suitable to send this and another two small items in). No awful plastic to cut or anything like that.In use, it works very well - the lid clips on easily to avoid any potential spillages, and more importantly keep your ice isolated and fresh once inside the freezer. There is a knack to filling it just to the right level, just allowing some water to seep into the blue lever sections, as the 'click' of these bits snapping from the main cube is what ultimately frees them up.I even filled mine with Evian this week (as I do drink/consume the cubes, whether blitzed in a smoothie or gradually melting into some lemon water or fruit juice) and must say the cubes were noticably better in appearance, and easier to get out, than with tap water.I am not heavy handed, quite the opposite, though even in the normal run of things the product requires some twisting, prodding etc as per the instructions - happily so far no indications that it will not stand up to these run of the mill rigours.Robust, great design both looks-wise and ergonomically, and really considering just what refreshment you can get from having some ice cubes handy, it isn't a great deal to pay considering the quality and benefits of the product.Recommended.

strong and useful
Works as advertised for removing cubes, and therefore saves time and effort. A bit expensive though

Works ok lid sometimes sticks
Generally works well. Easy to fill and in most cases the underside switches release the ice cubes fine. Occasionally you have to keep pressing then for it to release and the lid does sometimes stick on and difficult to remove. Overall pleased with it.

Great Ice Tray
This is a great ice tray, the lid is excellent for keeping stuff away from the ice in the ice drawer. Easy to remove once you get the hang of which way to move the ejector on the bottom. It's nice that you dont have to disturb any cubes you dont intend to use.

Easy to use and really fun!
I loved this product! I have been using this ice tray for a few months now, and so far it has worked brilliantly. It has clear instructions making it simple to use, and the whole tray is made of really high quality, durable materials that definitely feels like it would last. The process of snapping the ice out of the tray is also strangely satisfying. On the back of the tray there are little 'tabs' that you press and the ice would fall straight into the cup. However you have to ensure that you twist the tray like it instructs before you snap it (to loosen the ice first), and also it works a lot better if you move the tabs both left and right for each ice in order to release the ice cubes (It comes out 100% of the time that way). The lid is also really great as it makes sure that the ice is dust free, and also saves a lot of space in the freezer as I can now stack things on top of it with ease. The dimensions of this tray is about 31cm x 13cm x 3.7cm.This is a product I have recommended to all of my friends and will definitely repurchase as it makes a great gift for anyone.

Broken tray, decent ice
I have some mixed feelings about the overall product, considering Joseph Joseph got me used to perfect quality. Both ice trays I ordered arrived with damage. The structural integrity of the tray seems to be a bit weak around the edges, and unfortunately, this resulted in some parts of the tray being broken upon arrival. I suspect the packaging might be a big part of the problem, as it didn't adequately protect the edge during transit, leaving everything exposed to potential damage. On a positive note, the ice tray performs its basic function well enough. The quicksnap system makes releasing ice cubes relatively easy. While it's a decent product, the fact that it comes at a premium price makes the damaged delivery a disappointment. Considering Joseph Joseph's reputation, I expected better quality control to ensure undamaged arrivals.

Doesn't deliver on promise of easy-release for me. Not worth the price tag!
This is a sturdy product. It won't break like some of the cheaper, more basic ice-cube-trays. However, it's not exactly easy-release for me. If you fill it up too high, the water (or whatever else you're freezing) sticks to the lid, making it really difficult to pull off. If you fill it up too low, the quick release levers underneath don't work properly. The only way I can get anything out of this is by using the levers in the opposite direction to that stated on the tray, sometimes having to lever in both directions. It is easier if you let the ice cubes melt slightly before trying to remove from the tray but then if you don't plan on using the whole tray, you're compromising food safety. I intended using this for baby food as well but don't want to take the risk. I bought a silicon ice cube tray after spending a lot of money on this one and it's much better!

Rubbish
This is over-engineered and 9 times out of 10 doesn’t work. It’s also just cracked and is now in the bin. I’m now ordering another cheaper ice cube tray that I ordered at the same time as this one, and has been really easy to use and cost about £3 (the Kitchencraft one).

Prevents evaporation of ice
I use several of these trays at my cabin. I like them because they are easy to stack and I don’t get ice evaporation from the freezer cycles when I am gone a long time. Ice releases easily and Is always ready when I need it. Great product!

Great ice tray for space saving
I love the fact that it had a lid, so I can put other things on top of it in the freezer.

Excellent design!
This is very convenient, you can extract one ice cube at a time with a simple « press and bend » motion. Very sturdy plastic. I had one for years, and I bought a second one to freeze oil-infused herbs for cooking.
