Splash About Go Kids Starter Float Jacket

I bought this for my son who just turned 2. He's been in swimming lessons since he was 4 months old and is very confident in the water, but was frantic to swim independently without us holding onto him the whole time.Within seconds of putting this vest on he figured it out and was swimming laps around the pool. It positions the child in a very natural swimming position, and keeps them accustomed to having their face partially in the water.We used all of the floats because it was the first time, but I can see how the system of removing them would help build their confidence and stamina to ultimately be swimming vest free.

Our daughter attends swimming lessons and they have recently enforced a rule that means you can’t go in to the bigger pool (even with an adult) without some sort of support, unless you can confidently swim. As a result, I went on a search for a product that would support her and not restrict her. Our instructor doesn’t like armbands so I decided on this instead.It arrived a day before expected and I tried it on our daughter straight away. She is big for her age so I wanted to check it fit her appropriately. She loved it and didn’t want to take it off. The fit is on the snug side so if you are between sizes I would definitely size up. For our nearly 2 year old who comfortably fits in size 2-3 clothes the 1-3 year was a bit on the snug side but I imagine once we begin to remove the floats this will ease.It is very clear how to take the floats out and it is of good quality.

I bought this after seeing a friend's and thinking how good it was. The size of this is so large. I just accepted this was the size it was. When we forgot to pack it the other week I borrowed my friend's one which fitted so much better. I compared them side by side in the photo. This is a huge difference when the age spans 1-3 years already.

Went on holiday for a week recently and wanted something like this for added security even though our little cling to us anyway. It didn’t bother him that it was on and in fact I think he actually liked it as he didn’t once try and unzip it. All in all I’d say it was a great buy. Value for money and added security for us

Exceeded expectations - my two and a half year old put this on and instantly was able to do the doggy paddle unaided. After one session she could doggy paddle a whole length with this on - it is great to watch as a dad. I can totally see that by taking out the floats gradually she will self-learn o swim. Awesome product! :-)

This covers a big size range and when received was far too large for my daughter. We kind of lost her in it and it wouldn't keep her head above the water. We purchased arm bands at the same time and these are what we use all the time now. We thought this would be better as so easy to put on and daughter hated arm bands to begin with but it missed its time unfortunately by just being ineffective.

I bought one for my daughter who is 14 months and I also got one for my friend’s son as a gift for his second birthday. Even through this says from 1-3 years, they seem absolutely huge and don’t really stay on the body well in the water. They seem well made and I like the cute designs, I just wish they were made a bit smaller or had a way to stay on a young toddler. I’ll keep it because it’s better than nothing but I think it won’t properly fit for at least another year or two.

Used this on holiday with our 3 year old grandson who can’t swim but is confident in the water. Not at all itchy even when wet. Removed some of the floats throughout the week and he managed really well.
