I live-stream from my church using my mobile phone on a tripod without wheels. The ones with wheels are so expensive. This saves the day, making the tripod smooth-rolling.

I bought this for my husband and it works great! The quality is awesome and can fold nicely in a case. Totally worth the money!

So I needed a dolly for a tragically low budget location shoot but the budget and air travel wouldn't accommodate. I knew the location (a doctor's office) would have smooth institutional floors. I was rolling at 240fps to allow use of the footage at multiple frame rates and was worried that uneven or cheap wheels would translate into shaky shots. I was pleasantly surprised that with a little practice, I could execute simple, multi axis movements that looked good at 1/4 speed, 1/2 speed and 1/1. The wheels support a full cinema body and solid two-tiered sticks. They even fit in the tripod bag for travel. While not an actual replacement for a dolly, this system makes a good quick and dirty solution when the client won't pay for what you actually need.

Small Rig makes great products including this one. But after a year or so of using it, there are some shortcomings. The wheels are a bit too small and the arms don’t extend very far so the tripod is unstable when moved. Actually, that’s the only issues I’ve had. Super convenient to be able to roll the camera between shots and the dolly easily packs up in an included small bag, but be careful. Even thin cables can stop the undersized wheels from rolling thus tipping the tripod. Not sure if I’d buy a second one if I found something with a wider base. It’s priced right but I got what I paid for.

The wheels are super smooth, the legs telescope apart to fit pretty much any tripod, and everything locks in place really snug. I gotta hand it to SmallRig for another favorite product.

We use this for our camera tri-pod. It works very well. As with most of these products it takes practice to get the tri pod in and out. But our camera guy has it down to a science. Works great.
