Younger children will need help to build this!
I am a mum of 4 boys so am always looking for a new things for them to build. We have built many lego, technic lego, knex etc kits and this is one of the hardest we have built. I think that the recommended age of 6+ is to young! But this is definatly worth buying if you are prepared to help your child! It makes quite a fast (a little fragile) remote control car which my boys love and it is a resonable price.

A present to keep your youngster busy for a long time ago
This is a fabulous present for inquisitive young people but if you buy it for a young child Dads will need to be a helping hand

Bought this as an alternative to Lego and being remote controlled was an added attraction.First of all if you are used to the way Lego 'just works' you will be sorely disappointed. The parts on this are poorly made and don't fit together very well. You also have to be very careful as parts are not uniform, you have to make sure you use the different parts the right way up. The instructions are not very clear and the whole thing just doesn't go together very well. We wasted more of Christmas Day evening making this and in the end the overall effect was 4 minutes of interest before it started to fall apart - the tracks/links are very poorly made and don't fit together well or stay together and the remote control took ages to get to work, until the we noticed you have to press F4 every time to sync the remote - thats really not intuitive. Don't waste your money - for this price you can get something so much better from Lego.

Seems to be hard on batteries
Bought for 8 year old. He found it difficult. Seems to be very hard on batteries but finished product looks cool

Be aware kit might have faulty parts
I have bought this RC tank kit as a present for my son that I was meant to see only for a several days before he left the country. All seemed working fine as intended until caterpillar tracks were put on( exact number as per instruction) and from there on tank would not move. It appears tracks are to tight on both sides which does not allow neither of two motors to move.I was offered a few extra tracks to be send but unfortunately my son was no longer with me and left abroad.Keep that in mind.
