Finding my calm in chaos
I loved this book. It had thrill, suspense, love... Lots of love, poetic love, romance, steam. MC were amazing. Cheers to the author for making the lady the bad guy and male a good one. Unlike other stories, I was unsure of the ending and how she will make it a happy ending. But the climax was happy.I didn't like the spelling mistakes.

The best anti-heroine
This book is rare, like seriously we love dark damaged characters but how often we find a anti-heroine who is full of cracks, this books checks all the points and makes you crave to read more twisted but nonetheless beautiful love story. It's a standalone but if you come by this review please read the other books in this series, they are all just amazing.Writing and the story plot is fast paced and action packed in all sense. High adrenaline and the drama will keep you hooked and the scarred characters will make you fall in a book hangover

Felt flat and very insta-infatuation type. I don’t really care about either of the MCs. I haven’t read many books with anti-heroine but here it just felt too far fetched and forced - I couldn’t really sympathesize with her. DNF for me.

wretched
Emily has created a masterpiece once again. Wretched was a wild ride filled with tension, a forbidden romance and plot twists. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. Nick and Evie had electrifying chemistry. I loved seeing them together. I did think that Nick seemed to give in a bit too quickly. I expected more of a mental dilemma throughout the story, but his morals started flickering away almost immediately.I also feel a bit disconnected from Evie. She seemed to not feel much emotion, and when she did it felt odd to me. Like she was sad about her sister, angry at Dorothy, angry about everything really, and then falling in love. But at the same time it was almost like she felt nothing. It’s a bit hard to explain. Speaking of love, this was pretty insta-lust and insta-love. But it was really fun to read. The fact that this has Wizard of Oz themes had me so happy. It’s one of my favorite movies and I felt like the author did a really good job incorporating those themes. I loved this book.Overall, I’d say if you like dark romances, strong female leads, forbidden romances and plot twists, I’d say this is for you.

This story!! Highly recommend-Evie is a fantastic FMC
What a wonderful book! This (and the rest of the series) should be a must read on your list! The writing is fantastic and Emily has a way of creating character to just need to love! I can’t believe it took me so long to read this one, considering I loved the rest of the series and the story this book is ‘based’ on!Just wow! The amount of love I have for Eveline is out of this world. Firstly, I was so excited that we’re were getting the story of a female villain, she was everything I could ask for and more! She is bada$$, smart, strong, a little funny and just perfection. The amount of layers she has to peel back was so enjoyable. Her and Nicholas together were everything. Intense physical attraction, but emotionally and mentally Evie is the opposite of everything Nicholas stands against. Something about their connection just can’t keep them apart. I loved every bit of their relationship! Especially the banter and jabs-special shout out the the spice in this book, we get some early and often and these two put their connection to good use!I love watching them just melt for each other and open up as time went on. Nicolas was so great, seeing his true self come out when he was with Evie and he learnt a lot about his self when with her. This was a great darker romance (see author’s note if needed), enemies to lovers steam filled book!! I loved that it had a twist I didn’t see coming, and I even got a little emotional a couple of times! Plus, the little bits of the Wizard of Oz story this writer included added the perfect touch!Highly recommend!4.5⭐️

The plot didn't do it for me
I am all for hate-to-love relstionships, but I couldn't believe that this relationship would ever happen. Especially with his background. I can't believe that a cop would fall in love with a drug supplier. Especially when he is disgusted by her and what she does - he doesn't find it sexy or intoxicating when she kills people, he's revolted by it.But, the writing was good and it was an easy read.

Good read
Just like the other 2 books it reads really easy and I finished it quickly.I didn't like it as much as the other 2 books though. There was also something that they did that disgusted me a lot so that didn't help 😅I did like that she was the actual bad guy and it wasn't the guy that was the bad one.I was planning on reading all the books in this series in one go but to be honest I'm kind of missing my fantasy and magic and I've had enough spice for a while now. Because these books obviously have a lot of that. So I'll definitely read the next books in the series but I'm taking a little breather now 😄
