SOUND FORGE Audio Studio – Version 12 – audio editor including mastering plug-in

Does run on Windows 10. But there is not much else to say that's good about this software. Mostly a downgrade from the Sony Sound Forge 10 version. Menu commands that do not work. Tutorials that are nearly impossible to find, and then do not tell you how to use the '"features" and and interface controls that are completely new. Seems that most of the presets from the Sony version are still there, but found that many did not work as well in V. 12 as they did in Sony's V.10.Seems that the upgraded features in the Magix version are a myth. I went back to the Sony version. One thing though. In Windows 10, the Sony version must be installed in compatibility mode, or started by clicking on Run as Administrator.

This is not Sony Sound Forge. The audio restoration FX are pure garbage compared to the old Sony software. If you have a high end sound card this version does not have ASIO support. You would be better off using the free Audacity software. This is Magix not Sony. I went back to using an older version of Sony Sound Forge 10 with Windows 7.

I bought this mostly for Ozone Elements and in my opinion it's well worth the $22.99 just for that. I haven't really messed around with Audio Studio and Audio Cleaning Lab except to verify that they do work on my computer in Windows 10.The above three programs installed to my computer flawlessly and the mandatory registration went without a hitch. So now I'm the very happy user of the Ozone Elements plugin with my version of FL Studio. For $22.99 it's pretty hard to go wrong. It may be an older version of the software but the price was perfect for someone who's just experimenting with this stuff.

Probably the most arcane install-register-validate process I've ever experienced. This is a definite NO. I never could get it to run, using the serial number in the package, an online registration, and then a seemingly unrelated product validation. Whatever features Sound Forge 12 was to have added, my old copy of Sound Forge 10 will have to do for now. I'm really disappointed. I'd give it a zero star rating if I could. Their website is useless.

Did not offer the features which I needed and that the advertising stated. So very difficult to work with that I returned the software for refund. Perhaps professional music engineers can use this product, but for the average person who needs it for less demanding projects, look elsewhere.

Personally, for what I use this for, my Sound Forge 10 is still enough without the bells and whistles I don't use. A serious editor of music might have a lot of better reasons to upgrade than I.
