so good it made me write my first review on amazon.sorted a big bag of coins quickly and effectively. no mistakes. The small tubes do fill up quickly, but all the hard work is done by having everything sorted for you. It did jam once, but a quick shake of the unit cleared it and it carried on.Not sure how long the batteries last as just got it. definitely recommend this for the money - I run 3 restaurants so have a lot of cash to process and since changing banks don't have an coin atm at the branch anymore so this is a bit of a lifesaver, couldn't even contemplate manually sorting.

Received in good time, put into operation immediately, sadly the on/off button worked once only, had to remove batteries to stop machine, attempted to try again, unfortunately machine would not start even after replacing the new batteries I had purchased with machine, thought this would have been a good deal, sadly not so back to the drawing board...I make many regular purchases from Amazon and this is a rare occassion that a product gets a one star from me. As I count money for charity I cannot afford a more expensive machine and may have to try a replacement?Replacement arrived and everything working well, what could have taken me a week or so to count only took 3 days...pleased with the machine. everything worked out well, guess the first machine failure was a fluke like many other products

Purely as a sorter, it does an fine job, and sorts the coins quite fast. The size of the hopper is not huge, so don't expect to empty a bucket of coins in all at once!I chose this device for my 6-year old daughter in the hope that it would spark some more interest in maths - or at least make her less reluctant to practice! I bought it with a few of each different of the coin denominations. Anyway, it has worked pretty well at that , and she has spent a fair amount of time playing with the different coin denominations, sorting them, and (hallelujah!) she has been, finally, open to working out the arithmetic to find totals.As others have mentioned, it has no running-total display, but given my motivations, this is a feature I specifically wanted omitted.

I had purchase this product back in 2012 and have had no issues with it. Reading some of the negative reviews, I was a bit surprised and therefore thought I should write my experience. For me, this product has worked seamlessly for last 3 years. It has been operated by multiple member rod my families and we end up using it multiple times during the day.Recently my 1 year old niece and nephew put it through aggressive regression testing and almost broke it. I had to screw it open to take out the jammed coins and it was working again. My only disappointment was that in that process we misplaced couple of tubes and now I can NOT use the sorter very well. So if anyone has suggestion how I can get replacement tubes, then I'll be back again using one of my most efficient home tool.

This product worked for 6 weeks but did not survive my children opening it up to look under the lid. The plate that sorts the coins became bent and now that turning plate does not do its job. You can still put the coins straight onto the ridge running round the edge and the machine sorts them. My boys still love it, but I am always disappointed when things for young children are not kid proof.

Great product for the cost. Occasionally coins get stuck in the top if they aren't inserted right, great for sorting large amounts of money and it helps to recognise foreign coins. Would recommend buying some cloth money bags if you are sorting large amounts of money as the coin holders are very small. My partner tapes a cloth money bag to each slot when we are dealing with a lot of money which works fine. Good product, good delivery. would recommend

I don't know whether this was designed for another currency and has been converted to Sterling, but most of the tubes hold a completely useless and incoherent amount of coins. I assumed that the height of each tube matched the amount of coins that you can put in a bank bag, so that when the tube gets full, you can tip the coins into a bag without having to count them – surely that's a major reason why someone would buy a coin sorter?? Wrong. The 5p tube is only big enough for £1.75. Who the hell decided it should collect £1.75?? The 10p tube holds £4.40, the 50p one £19, and the £1 one £25. In fact, the only tube I filled that held a helpful amount was the 20p one, which did indeed hold £10 (I didn't have enough coins for the others). This cost £30 including batteries – save yourself the money and do it by hand, or spend more and get a decent one that counts as well as sorts.

Valentine's day present for my 32 year old husband who saves every single pence! He made me spend hours with him separating coins several times and I got very annoyed because I hate it! Your hands get really dirty and you always lose the count!!!This machine is very handy (a bit noisy but totally worth it). And he likes watching the coin going to the right place... I really like it and I now I dont have to sit with him for hours separating coins, the time can be invested in something else much more fun! :)
