Worth the money if you want to keep squirrels from eating your bird food. Before buying this we had grey squirrels destroying our feeders to get at the seeds and nuts. Bought two of these- a peanut version and a seed version- and both work very well, squirrels cannot figure them out, but birds can eat happily. As long as you follow the instructions and hang them suitably far from ledges or branches which squirrels could use to shift their weight off the feeder. More expensive than basic feeders but they seem very durable so I think worth it. You get what you pay for!

This is the best bird feeder I've ever bought 100% squirrel proof and pigeon proof it's worth the investment. It's so easy to clean compared to other feeders. The spring that is in is set to close feeder if anything over 70grams in weight lands on it it will close and fully closed down 150g so all the small birds up to and over the size of a bullfinch they weigh 42grams can happily feed just so you have an idea starlings weigh 99grams black birds 113grams pigeons 368g dove 226gtams red squirrel 255-340grams grey squirrel 400-600grams (there is a useful list of bird weights included in the leaflet that comes with the feeder) the spring can be adjusted to suit the birds you want to feed . Also you can register your feeder as it has a two year warranty with it . The feeder is an excellent size fantastic quality and looks great too . REMEMBER always support the feeder when removing hook as the inside slides out so you dont spill seeds everywhere but they have a lable on it to remind you . The spring action is awesome I have been invaded by 3 squirrels and this is the answer its stopped the wood pigeons and pigeons getting food out so stops them messing everywhere I didnt have any then one day the pigeons arrived and I've done everything to get rid of them and this is the answer to my problems . I can say my bullfinches love this feeder plenty of room for their heads to feed easily compared to the caged squirrel proof feeders that are available and they adapted to the new feeder the first day it went up the goldfinch and green finches love it too and long tailed tits and all the other tits too .it's great to see them feeding as the large pigeons put the smaller birds off from feeding and the squirrels started to fight the pigeons so my bird watching was disrupted by all the chaos and now I'm back to just the birds I want to see and feed in my garden and no messy pigeon poop to deal with they did hang around a few days but once they realised they couldnt get to the food they moved on elsewhere so happy days again. I'm so impressed with this brand and them being 100% squirrel and pigeon proof they are simply the best bird feeders so I have ordered two of the squirrel buster minis to change all my feeders to this brand it saves so much wasted seed and the build quality is awesome what more could you want . I got my feeder on special offer I know they seem expensive but they are worth every penny spent you will not regret this purchase .If i have any issues at all I will up date my review.

Well made unit which keeps off the squirrels and large corvids. Seems to be loved by tits, sparrows, finches and nuthatch.This one is larger than the previous model that I have had for over 10 years.

Got this to replace a basic hanging bird feeder for my second floor balcony. The other feeder was knocked off by a jackdaw, and smashed to bits on the ground underneath. This is very sturdy, and despite their best efforts flinging themselves against it, it's not fallen off or shown any signs of damage.We have pretty determined grey squirrels, but they've been totally defeated by this - they stopped trying to pick their way in, after a couple of days. Local idiot wood pigeons also couldn't work it out, and just stood around pecking the sides, before waiting for the other birds to drop bits they could eat.That's the only issue we found - small birds can get access to so much seed, they throw it everywhere. This attracted pigeons and eventually the neighbourhood rats (a stream runs under our car park, and not enough local cats to keep them in check), so we eventually took it down, to avoid grumbles from the neighbours.Expensive, but definitely a step up in quality and design from the cheapie models you get in garden centres.

Works perfectly and prevents squirrels, pigeons, magpies and starlings from stealing all the food. We’re now getting lots of different small birds to the feeds including goldfinches, greenfinches, siskins and nuthatches.

Although more expensive than most bird feeders this has so far deterred the squirrels that visit our garden. More importantly our garden birds started feeding from it straight away.This is a relatively new addition to the garden so I have no idea how long it will withstand weather and wildlife but it looks robust and is easy to fill and clean.Glad we took the plunge and invested in the squirrel buster range, they seem to work!

Although it is espensive, this feeder really works! There are 4 feeding posts that take the weight of 4 small birds, but when a heavier weight such as that of a squirrel tries to feed, the feeding posts are obscured as the mechanism operates. However, it is rarely necessary to count on this mechanism. The product contains a long (~25cm) tough plastic tube connecting the feeder to its hanging hook. The distance from the top of this tube to the feeding posts is too great for a sqirrel to stretch head first down to the feeding posts. Our squirrels have not got past this second line of defence, so the weight sensitive mechanism has hardly been tested. There is also nowhere for pigeons to perch and feed so they also have no success.

We bought all the pieces besides just the feeder. What an outstanding bird feeder! This is the BEST one we have ever had. It is very durable - and squirrels are totally dismayed!!!!!

I had a Droll Yankee rechargeable feeder for many years but recharging it was a drag plus...squirrels being the intelligent critters they are figured a way to (in short) to run the battery out giving them and their comrades an AYCE buffet. This one looks the same as the other one and holds as much with one exception that there's no recharging and, it is TRULY squirrel proof.The seed ports close completely when the weight of the squirrel hits the perch ring and can not be pried open. I've had it up for two weeks now and I've seen wood peckers, cardinals and smaller birds enjoying a munch while I watch jealous squirrels glaring at them. Now they only have whatever seed birds knock down onto the ground. I live in the woods and have nothing against squirrels but I'm in a forest of oaks and pines...they're being lazy :)I won't miss the herd of squirrels being in my yard making my dogs crazy because of free grub one bit.Worth the money, Looks great and heavy duty and well made. I also bought the weather guard which prevents the ports from getting soggy and moldy when rain drips down the shaft of any bird feeder.

Frustrates the squirrels

Eine super Futterstation, dadurch das man einstellen kann welche Vögel bzw Tiere an das Futter ran können, können Tauben, bzw. auch Ratten nicht ans Futter, die Futterstation ist ihr Geld wert.

Das Beste was ich je ausprobiert habe. Langlebig und winterhart. Dies ist meine dritte Futtersäule, die ich als Geschenk bestellt habe. Absolut Perfekt !
