Yes you do. I bought it for my 2 year old. I wouldn't recommend this toy at all. It is made of cheap flimsy plastic and doesn't really function well. The water containers don't seem to be the same scale as the car that comes with it. Essentially; nothing works. Save your money and buy something different.

hi really can not answer, grandson puts all his Disney cars in bath. with no problems.
