Technically yes but I wouldn't recommend it. The "cover/stand" for the monitor is not attached to the monitor. It instead uses magnets to stick to the back of the monitor, and a high friction material to hold it up. SO if you lean it against a WALL or some other object it should work. NOTE: You would HAVE to use the USB-C connector for power, and not the Micro USB port for power. You would still be able to use the Mini-HDMI port for display if you needed to, but the USB-C port MUST be used for power no matter what.

There is no "program". This is just a monitor, like any other computer monitor. Just with touch.

Q: Anyone have problems with it dropping from windows over and over again?

Nope, we bought about 15 of these for our company so far and they've worked great! I'd test various cables and ports, then test with a DIFFERENT Monitor on the same computer. If it still doesn't work I'd RMA it.
