I use this device to dehumidify a fairly small gun safe. For that purpose, this is a great dehumidifier. I used another brand previously that finally died on me. This one seems to be more quiet, more compact, and seems to draw more moisture out of the air.Anyone who expects this class of dehumidifier to truly lower the humidity in a room really has false expectations. That's simply going to require a much larger, more powerful dehumidifier. So, all the negative reviews about it not dehumidifying a room are really unreasonable and should be ignored.I'm very happy with this device so far, but I did want to leave a review to point out one thing that might be helpful to other buyers - the thing will not turn back on after a power outage. You have to push the power button. This isn't an issue for me because I open the safe regularly, but it's just something to be aware of.

I’ve had this small dehumidifier for six weeks. I bought it for my bathroom because there is no vent fan. Because of the bathroom’s location in the condo and HOA rules, a vent duct cannot be installed. It does a great job dehumidifying the small bathroom (about 6’x8’) that has two sinks and a tub/shower enclosure. I started by emptying the reservoir every couple of days. I decided to see how long it would take to fill the reservoir and automatically shut off. It took 9 days to fill and shut off. It is very easy to empty the water reservoir. It takes about 10 seconds to empty the reservoir and put it back together. It has a light that works well as a nightlight. It’s quiet and doesn’t take up much room on the counter. It actually works better than many vent fans I’ve had dehumidifying bathrooms. I make sure to keep the bathroom door open when not in use to provide extra air flow, and by doing that along with using this dehumidifier (I keep it running constantly), I’ve had no problems with any mold growth.

We live full time in a fifth-wheel trailer and this dehumidifier has run 24-7 for two years. It's attractive and very quiet. The unit had accumulated a decent amount of lint on the vents, however. I opened it (accessible via a bunch of screws – guessing it's not intended to be opened) and got out as much as I could, but I ultimately decided to replace the dehumidifier. I ordered the same one, as I like the way this one works and looks.

Works like a charm. I have a restroom with no ventilation. Mold would grow above the shower in my teens bathroom. I read the reviews on this product first. The main theme I kept seeing was that they don't last past a year. For the price, I'd say that's fair. We'll see how far mine takes me, but if it crops out past a year, I'll gladly buy another one just like it. I mean I spend the same amount of $ on fast food for the family for one meal. It's worth it.

Love this. Very effective. Never realized how humid the air in my room was until getting this and how quickly it fills up. It has a slight white noise effect but nothing over bearing and the light mode is a good night light. Would buy again. Easy to empty.

if you have a humid room, it won't lower humidity much. works well if your humidity is just a few percent above what you want it to be.

I purchased two of these for my small apartment. One for the bathroom and one for my living room. They work great. The light that it gives off isn't too bright but you can shut the light off completely if you desire. The noise level isn't bad I don't even notice either of them. I highly recommend.
