I purchased this as I am an amateur photographer and still use my trusty old digital SLR but miss the ability to post directly to social media, text and email. I tried a WiFi SD card but that had endless problems so chose this very simple but effective option which according to my reading would allow me to pop in any SD card (including that from my Drone!) and import pictures and videos to my iPhone or iPad for use in the same way as any other locally taken pics of videos.Upon receiving the card reader, I literally plugged in the SD card and connected the adaptor to the lightening port. Within a second or so (once unlocked), the “Photos” app appeared onscreen with a new “Import” button showing the SD card content with options to “Delete All” and “Import All” (these switch from “All” to “Selected” if any images are selected).I really am very pleased with the simplicity of this device as I didn’t need to install any software or change any settings, it was as “plug and play” as it gets and has worked seamlessly with every SD card I have used including MicroSD via an adaptor.I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to get media from an SD card onto an iPhone/iPad for sharing, processing or just a simple backup.

This phone connector should remove the need for it.The product comes in a retail box, meaning I'd have no qualms giving this as a gift. It comes in a hassle free packaging so no need for scissors.It contains:-1 x Lightning connector to SD card readerThe product feels and looks great. The plugs and feel of the cable are high quality and feel great.This product is not MFi and therefore has not undergone testing at Apple but as the build quality is so high, I do wonder if they are currently going through the processOnce I connected up the cable, it started working immediately with my phone. Let's be honest...Who want's to pay £30 for an official Lighning to SD Card adapter from Apple? I certainly don't! This lightning to sd card adapter performs the exact same to the official Apple cable for a third of the price and it even looks the same! The SD Card slot can hold multiple sizes from Micro to SDXC, the cable connecting the 2 has the exact same look and feel as the Apple connectors and works perfectly with my iPad 4. If your looking for an SD Card adapter for your Apple device then I highly reccomend this one

Bought this to allow me to edit RAW DSLR files on the go using Lightroom on my iPhone.Very impressed; it does exactly what it was advertised for. Fairly rapid data transfer speeds compared to others I've used.I spent a several weeks on yachts and it got dunked in salt water at least a few times. Still appears to function perfectly well.Build quality makes it feel quite solid; some feel as though the case is going to fall off but I was impressed with this adaptor.

Got this on behalf of my grandparents who find technology difficult. They understand how to use the iPad but consistently ask me to help them print photos from their camera. This has really helped; i've shown them how to take the SD card out the camera, place it in this adapter and you can see the photos straight on the iPad - there ready to print to a Wireless printer.This simple adapter makes the lives of people easier who don't have access to a laptop. The integration with IOS is thanks to apple, but it works consistently and is quick at copying too.I just wish perhaps there may be a little carry pouch to keep this in to prevent it from easily getting lost, or potentially damaged e.g. debris inside the SD card slot. Overall, a necessity to people without access to a Computer/Laptop

This works very well on my iPad Air 128GB running the latest 11.3.1 firmware.I used this with the card I use in my Nikon D7200, it’s a Scandisk 64gb cats capable of 90MB/s.It transferred around 50 JPG photos in around 3 mins. The photos was of high res and around 24MB each so speed it pretty fast.When you plug it in the iPad automatically loads a page to import the photos, you can choose to import single photos or all at once. It then gives you the option to delete them off the card now there imported or leave them be.I can’t comment on how long it will last but the quality feels good look an Apple product should but about a third of the price.I would recommend this to anyone needing to get photos from an SD card to there Iphone or IPad.

Would have given this a 5 because it was so, so, simple to use. 1. Fit sd Card into Card reader; 2. Switch on iPad and attach card reader to port; 3. Select photos and upload; 4. View your photos! Only gave 4 stars because uploaded videos won’t play.

I originally purchased a £30 Apple lightning usb camera lead, which l was very disappointed to find did not work, as my camera is charged via usb, it won’t read from the camera, you just get an error message. I was dubious about buying a non Apple branded lead, but at £9 l figured l would give it a go. It is fantastic! As long as you use a 64Gb or less card, it works perfectly. You just plug into your iPad and it automatically transfers the photos for you. I am using an iPad Pro 9.7”, with iOS 11.1 installed and l have had no problems - l highly recommend it!

I use this when i take pictures on my dslr so i can quickly transfer pics from the sd card to my clients phones on site, this looks professional and quick.

The "real" Apple branded version of this is £29. This is less then £9.It does exactly what the Apple one does, in exactly the same way. It is, essentially, the same.

This is an absolute piece of garbage. It does not work right out of the box. What a waste of my time

Simply does not work with iPhone 7plus running iOS 11.4.1‘Accessory not supported’. Tried JPG and MP4 files both on the root of the SD, in a DCIM folder as well as in...

Does not work - product feels fragile and cheap but most importantly fails to read anunofbthe cards if tried.

This does exactly what it should and enables you to store your photos on your device for editing etc and post on social media if that’s what you want to do.

Great product ..does everything required ..easy to transfer photos from camera to iPad .Prompt delivery and excellent value .

I hesitated in the beginning to purchase this item as this one was really cheap but to my surprise it did not fail me. It actually works well.
