Will work for some plantings
Their other sturdier, stiffer wire baskets work much better and easier. These just collapse and re-position too easily. Whether I placed the unpotted plant in it or put the basket in the hole first (worse) the move into the hole wasn't easy. I tried because they are cheaper, but...

The best
I had my gardener use these with my new roses. All my other roses were eaten by the gophers , so between the exterminator and these screens I feel my roses will be safe
