FANTASTIC!
I bought this pressure cooker after watching the pitch for the "Instant Pot" advertised on TV, but I didn't want to pay their high price, so I did some research on Amazon and found this Cosori cooker instead. It seems to be almost identical to its competition, but I believe the Cosori is a better deal. It comes with a little rack, a lid to cover the removable pot so you can keep food warm with the lid on at table or in the pot on "warm" to keep your food at an even temp. It also comes with two plastic "tools;" one is a rice paddle and the other is a small ladle, really cute and a welcome addition. An extra gasket is also included to replace the old one if/when it wears out. I've used the pot twice now in one week. I first used it on New Year's day to make my traditional hoppin John and trotters, but Giant had only two packs of some piddling looking trotters, so I passed and got the pig tails instead. I think I might have made a better choice because the tails have much more meat on them than the trotters, which are mostly fat; however, the sight of the pig tails was alarming. I always thought pigs had short, thin, curly tails. The ones I bought were humungous and looked like white penises. I don't mean to be vulgar, but I got quite squeamish and traumatized taking a cleaver to those '"peters" to cut them in half so they would fit in the pot. The pressure cooker performed perfectly. Forty minutes later, I had the perfect African American New Year's meal, and as they say: Lawdamercy, I put my foot in those suckers! Make you wanna slap ya mama!I wasn't done. Yesterday I went back to Giant to get some decent trotters. Thank goodness they had some that looked more respectable and like they were donated by a healthy sized hog. So I did them up this morning with trinity, minced garlic, bay leaf, season salt, red pepper flakes, some Worcestershire sauce and added some low sodium chicken stock to the pot and set the cooker on "meat" for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, I let the steam reduce on its own, opened the pot and added the dried black eyed peas and set the cooker for another 20 minutes, which would make the total time to cook the entire meal 40 minutes. I cooked my brown rice traditionally on the stove. Had I not had the pressure cooker, it would have taken me anywhere from 3 to 6 hours to cook the peas and trotters. Okay, so I've given you my killer recipe for trotters and hoppin john, but I got so carried away, I didn't give a thorough review of the cooker. IT'S THE S++T! I truly love it. It is compact so it doesn't take up all your counter space. It's simple to operate, easy to clean and cooks exactly as it is supposed to. It's made very well, and it came packaged in two boxes. One an outer shipping box and the interior box was the one the cooker was packaged in by the manufacturer. Another good factor is that it is less expensive than its popular competition Instant Pot, had more accessories, and comes with the same warranty as the other I believe. The only problem I had was due to my own ditsyness. I couldn't figure out how to remove the lid from the pot. I had to go to YouTube to watch a video of a man unboxing his and how everything worked. Once I figured out how to remove it, it was simple. Made me feel like an imbecile after I figured it out though. So all in all, I would highly recommend this lil cooker. I got mine for less than $60 because I had reward points, which reduced my price to $45.00. I consider that a darn good deal. I almost gave the cooker away as a Christmas gift, but after I opened the box, examined all the parts and watched the demo videos, I decided, "Oh, hell no! I'm keeping this billy!" I suggest you do the very same, but if you're feeling generous, go ahead and buy one for a good, deserving friend or relative. If they can cook, they'll love it. Nuff said...

I Almost Like Cooking Again (Almost)!
This is my first instant pot. I am not entirely sure it will be my last, either! This little pot came complete with all accessories you would need to get started instant cooking. It appears to be well built and it’s fairly user-friendly, for those of us like me who are new to this type of cooking. Everything I have made in it so far has turned out great. The reason for four stars instead of five is because it lacks a variable pressure setting, but I am not sure yet how important that is in the big scheme of things. And if I had it to do over again, I would buy a bigger version than this 2 quart pot - you can’t even fit two ramekins in it at once. I bought it because it was so small, since I am cooking for an audience of one - my mistake. Better too big than not big enough! So I may end up getting a bigger one down the road. It certainly makes cooking quick and easy! Bottom line: yes, I would recommend it, just in a bigger size.

so I know that which one is good quality pressure cooker is
This is a life saver and time saver for sure. I have been using different pressure cookers more than 30 years, so I know that which one is good quality pressure cooker is. I was looking for the reasonable price with excellent quality of pressure cooker for my daughter who is going to college soon. As a mom, we worry about them would be starving because we thought, they do not know how to cook food well. But with this multifunctional pressure cooker, my worry about her would be less for sure. I am pretty sure my daughter will cook a meal with the pressure cooker easily.I bought 2 quarts of the cooker. It is good for a household of 1-2 person. It is easy and convenient if you figure it out how to use them. because it is hard to understand/nervous to use the pressure cooker due to cooking guideline and recipe book are flimsy and there are not many recipes. so My suggestion is to try different food, different options, by searching/googling pressure cooker recipes on the internet. if you do that, you would get an idea how to use it, how long it needs to be set up etc.The quality of the machine is excellent. sometimes when I am busy with work, daily stuff, take care of kids, some type of community activities, I forgot to prepare meals.Since my family says they are hungry, and there is not enough time, the electric pressure cooker is time savor, cooks quickly with a little bit of water.WIth 13 PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS: Rice, Yogurt, Soup/Congee, Multigrain, Slow Cook, Bake, Steam, Sauté, Canning, Poultry, Beans, Meat/Stew, Keep Warm, you can ready your meal in 10-40min depends on what you are cooking. One thing you need to remember is It builds up the pressure fist, It takes a time 5-10 min to build up pressure before start cooking. so Remind pressure time is not included the time on LED screen. The rice turns out good. Do not forget to release pressure after done if you don't, the rice will be overcooked. Stone plate cooked egg turned out so good too. The chicken breast was juicy and tender. There is no need to wait for the oven to cook food in front of a stove, the programmable will cook it for you during you are doing your chores. I am less using my stovetop pressure cooker and slow cooker since I am using COSORI multifunctional electric cooker. Since it is a small appliance, you can take and use them wherever electricity is like camping, traveling, outdoor activities too.I want to purchase this for my own when my daughter takes this later.

You have to put enough food in the insert for it to rest solidly on the heating element or the heat doesn't work properly..
I may alter my review after I've used this pot more. I don't like that the inner pot must hold enough ingredient weight for the pot to heat properly. In trying to saute onions there wasn't enough weight to make the pot rest solidly in the bottom of the pot to press the pot down to activate the heating mechanism properly. I had to put a weight in the bottom of the insert to get the chopped onions to brown. I may return this pot if after several uses if this problem can't be resolved. It did not work. And now it will cost me more to get it back to Amazon than the amount I paid for it.
