Huskies loved it
TLDR: my two huskies loved it and took more than 5 seconds to finish! Easy to prep/clean (as long as you wash them immediately with hot water). Mini spatula is so cute! Would recommend!Review:I have two, young, energetic, massive huskies who get very bored very easily. My fiancé and I both got Covid a little over a week ago and haven't had the energy to take them on walks/won't take them to a dog park. They've been extremely restless and under exercised as a result, so I got these in hopes that a new thing would help perk them up (we have a good selection of puzzle boxes, kongs, and antlers already, but felt that the novelty would help). They loved them! I got a couple things with my grocery delivery (so glad that is still a thing) that are dog safe and would fit these well (I'll list these later for anyone who's interested). They seemed really messy after filling them with the cute mini spatula, so I put them on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and popped them in the freezer for a couple hours. (Wax paper was just to keep them from sticking to the tray. Paper towel would probably work just as well in hindsight.) I spent a pretty good chunk of time filling these because it turned the whole prep time into an activity for them. They absolutely knew these were for them, so I let them sniff and sample all the ingredients one by one and check out the mats before loading them up. They also got to lick the spoons, because obviously that's the best part. I didn't fill these all the way to the top because that felt like it would be too much stuff, just enough to cover all the ridges completely. If I were in a hurry and didn't turn the prep time into a whole activity thing, this would probably take no longer than a couple minutes or as long as it would take to make a sandwich.I stuck the mats firmly to the tiled kitchen floor for them, and it took them maybe 10-15 minutes to clean them pretty thoroughly. Next time I'll put them on opposite sides of the kitchen so they can't watch each other and race to finish first. I do recommend sticking around to supervise, as they're not at all meant to hold up to any sort of chewing. Both of my dongos could chew their way through a brick wall if the brick were bacon flavored, but luckily neither tried munching their mats. Freezing it may have helped reinforce the licking instead of chomping, and the suction cups all around the bottom edge helped too.The mats washed off surprisingly easily, though I suspect they'd be a real pain if I hadn't washed them immediately after the dingos were done with them. Use hot water and most of the remaining food slime will rinse right off with the water pressure/temp. They're like washing spoons though, so I recommend holding them as vertically as possible or you're going to have a bad time. I didn't end up using the big toothbrush thing to clean them, (it wasn't necessary and seemed like it would just get really gross,) most of the nasty rinsed off right away and my hand and a tiny bit of dish soap was more than enough.Food stuffing ideas:!!!! Disclaimer: I'm just a random lady off the internet. Do your own research, read all the food labels, and use CREDIBLE sources, none of that blog garbage. (AKC.org has all the answers and is what we check before feeding the bongos anything.) Also, especially if your dog isn't used to people food and/or is smol, only give them small quantities at first in case it doesn't sit well with them. (No one likes poopy dog butts, especially the fluffy ones.)Here's what I used today:- chunky peanut butter (check that there is ONLY ONE ingredient: peanuts)- apple sauce- canned pumpkin (only made of pumpkin, not the pie mix)- frozen blueberries (stuck on top, though mashing fresh ones would work too)- frozen strawberries (stuck on top, ideally sliced)- frozen riced cauliflower/broccoli- frozen riced cauliflower/sweet potato- frozen peas/carrots (all these are frozen just so they keep better in bulk)Other stuff we plan on trying next:- plain, low fat Greek yogurt- low fat cottage cheese (small quantities on the dairy stuff though)- low fat cream cheese- plain white rice- shredded chicken (cooked, plain)- scrambled eggGood luck, have fun! :)

Fun for your dog
Saw this at my cousins house and her dog was entertained by it for 30 minutes. Like how the mat doesn’t slide on the floor. Cleans up nicely too as peanut butter can be a pain to get out of small crevices.

Teething puppies be crazy, bro
Get a lick mat, they said. Put goop on it and freeze it, they said. It'll soothe the puppy's teething, they said. You'll get ten minutes of peace and quiet from the nut-case puppy, they said. Ten minutes. Was that too much to ask? Yes. Yes it apparently was. Because in ten minutes, while you're trying to have just one lousy sip of your morning tea, the little bugger is going to snatch her lick mat off the floor (suction cups notwithstanding) and run out the doggy door with it, and you'll be picking up bits of silicone before you can mow the yard. What "they" failed to say was, you absolutely positively must watch the little critter every second with her lick mat. Or you'll be like me... buying new lick mats. :-P

Missing spatula and brush
Great mats, but brush and spatula were not included. There was a space for it the shape of a spatula in the packaging, but the packaging was opened and the two other items were not in it or the Amazon bag. Not sure what happened there.

Best Lick Mats Ever
These lick mats are fantastic as they have many suction cups on the bottom of the mat to keep it in place so your dog isn't pushing it all over the room. There are tiny nooks and crannies in the mats and it takes my dogs a long time to like the mat completely clean. Especially with peanut butter. You can also freeze to make last even longer. Great product, super durable, dishwasher safe.
