Active Splitter Not Passive
Just got done building my a new desktop computer after using the same one for almost a decade. I am not a gamer so I didn't update my video card yet. The Motherboard I purchased from Amazon had a single DP and a single HDMI port. CPU supports 4 total monitors at a maximum of 8K combined resolution. I have 3 monitors and this splitter works beautifully. Only issue is you need to connect it to a USB port to power it so it isn't a passive splitter.

Works great in a Beelink 5900hx mini pc
I needed a triple monitor setup on my new Beelink 5900HX mini pc, and this hub did the trick. Not much to say than it worked, no issues. I connected to an onboard usb port for power and plugged into the single display port on the machine. I even am using 2x display port to hdmi adapters. No drop outs whatsoever. I did have a bit of an issue with the system detecting what resolution to run the monitors at, but that could easily be mu adapters to hdmi. Picture was clear. Will be buying more for my future machines.

Product Failed within 90 Days
This product provided full resolution to two 34" 4K monitors as expected, but it died after only 90 days. On balance, the device was not a good value for that level of performance.

Extended Display Splitter
This DP splitter is made of quality material and I was impressed with how durable it feels. I connected it from an older laptop with a mini DP to DP adapter. Then DP to DP cables to 2 separate external monitors. It took a while to get it to work and I spent a long time in the graphics settings trying to determine why I couldn't get the laptop display and 2 external displays to work. I eventually determined the graphics card only supports 2 displays. So I could get all 3 displays working, but the 2 external were mirrored. Once I disabled the internal laptop display, I was able to extend the display on the 2 external monitors as desired. Occasionally there is some flickering on one of the monitors. This requires the USB cable to be plugged in to work effectively. I ran out of USB ports on the laptop so I connected it to a 5V power block and it works just fine.

Gets the job done, fairly annoying when computer is asleep.
Works without issue to split the connection and add a third screen. It has to be plugged in to a USB outlet and when the desktop is asleep it beeps constantly as if it is connecting and disconnecting, repeatedly. Once the computer is awake the beeping goes away. I tried plugging the USB directly into the CPU vs plugging it in directly to power and got the same result.

A bit limited for the price.
After getting this set up and plugging in the USB power, I plugged both my monitors in and was... kind of unimpressed?Don't get me wrong, it works. It does everything it says on the store page. And nothing more. Unfortunately doing everything it says on your store page is not necessarily enough for high marks.I had some hope that the 4k@30 for 2 monitors while only 4k@60 for 1 monitor might've been a limitation of the cables they used in testing or something, or that I could figure out some way around this limitation. But it's true.I have two 4k monitors. They are not 30hz, or 60hz, each are 144hz. Technically one is 175hz but I lower it to 144hz so they match and don't cause weird compatibility issues, which different refresh rates can often do.Anyway, both monitors showed up just fine, but were limited to 30hz each, which for a computer monitor might as well be "in the dumpster" unless you're just using this for PowerPoint presentations or... I dunno, Youtube videos or something. If you use this splitter, SPLITTER, with a SINGLE monitor, you can then be graced with a whole 4k/60, not even half of my native refresh rate while rendering this device functionally useless. It's like it actively makes my monitors worse by being connected.But... it never claimed to be anything more than what I've said here, so I won't knock points for what I had hoped to be the case, I think it's totally adequate and as-described, but nothing special. If you just need a splitter because you've got a single displayport and don't care about refresh rate, this'll do the trick, I guess. This little thing isn't bad, but I do wish it was better. I was hoping that being USB-powered would give it the oomph it needed to punch above its claimed specs, which are unimpressive to begin with.
