COMF1 ComfortMeter Temperature and Humidity Control

I have ordered two of these and both times the dial face had been placed on the stand wrong. There is a slight bend on the top of the rod that the dial slides over (ten degrees maybe) it is meant to tilt the face of the dial up at you. If it is mounted 90 degrees off the bend, it tilts the dial. It's not a big deal to straighten it just be prepared to do it. I dropped the first one and broke the small threads off where the rod meets the base. other than that, it's a nice looking instrument and seems to work well.

I wanted to write a review of this product because of some of the other negative reviews I read which gave me pause when ordering. I have ordered two of these on two separate occassions, and they've both arrived in perfect condition and work as they should. I ordered one for myself in the winter as I live in a very dry area and wanted to be able to monitor the humidity in my home, but I wanted something that was functional as well as beautiful to look at. It is both. My dad has been so obsessed with it, that I've ordered one for him for Father's Day! It arrived in perfect condition, and it shows the same measurements as the one I already have. I think this is a great product if you want something that is both useful and attractive.

Thermometer is always at about 69F no matter where you put it, even when my room was 88F after I turned off AC. Returned it.

I have an older version of this. I just purchased and received 2 of these to give as gifts. Some facts and observations on the ones I just received... First, the dial face does NOT say 'German Movement' it just says 'CONANT'. Second, the brass does not appear to be of the same quality as my older version. My old unit weighed 11 ounces, the new one weighs 9 ounces. Third, the bottom of the base has VERY sharp edges and should have been grounded or smoothed (my older version has a nice smooth rounded edge on the base). Fourth, the viewing angle is not as steep as my older version, it is more straight. Fifth, I left both new units next to each other for 24 hours, neither units readings matched. I had to remove the glass and re-calibrate them.

Very nice looking and I think it's accurate. Has a little weight to it, doesn't feel cheap.

Very nice meter. Very good looking. It works well and it is a good work shop conversational piece. For those that need this info the meter is four inches across the face. Great gift for and old guy that likes to watch the weather.

Inaccurate. Definitely not 85 degrees and 40% humidity in Seattle.

This is a really nice piece. I thought my house was dry and this just confirmed it. It can go just about any where. Just what I was looking for!
