Disconnects randomly
Works well when it works but randomly disconnects during drive. Unsure why. I gave 3 stars bc I'd rather have wireless than wired. Wish it worked seamlessly though without disconnecting.Update less than a month later: buggy device. Returning.

So Far Five Stars
It worked so far. Device connected, I played some audio and no skipping or randomly disconnections. The device did what AAWireless could not do. I did not drive the vehicle (2020 Subaru Forester Sport), but the device behaved perfectly. I moved the device while it was connected and no problem. Solid usb connection and cable. This device could be the King of Wireless Android Auto. Only time will tell. So far, a five stars product. I will update review if I encounter a problem after driving while using Wireless Android Auto. For connecting to device, I connected the phone to the device wifi name and entered a wifi password. Also, you have to pair the device via Bluetooth. There is a note on the instructions that states the original car's Bluetooth signal needs to remained connected with your phone. It is not correctly written on the instructions, but I believe that is what they ment to write. That's all folks!

Pretty good for the money
Has times where it disconnects and reconnects for no obvious reason. Doesn't happen often. Also it can interfere with the phones ability to go online to do other tasks while connected. Don't quite understand that but it also doesn't happen all the time. However in those times it happens, it's very annoying. Just seems to be the wrong time. But it does get the job done. If plugging your phone in everytime you get back in the car is a pain because your running errands, then this could help. But if you're trying to place an order thru an app, check you account balance or look up a store's hours on the way, you may have a problem. Your phone sees this as a WiFi connection but it can't connect you to the Internet so you're phone is confused

Slow(ish) to connect and disconnects frequently
It was easy enough to set up, but between being slow to connect (up to 45 seconds) and disconnecting/reconnecting frequently, I returned it after just a few days.I did try with multiple cables and had the same problem. I suppose it's possible that my car's USB port underpowered the unit, or the connection physically wasn't that good, but I have no issues with my phone plugged in directly.Ultimately I ended up returning it after ~1 week.

Terrible support and non working product
I loved this thing for a while but one day google play started crashing and the store did not work. I did a factory reset in an attempt to fix, but then could not sign in at all. I have tried google play services apk install, support forums flashing firmware, and contacting carlinkit but all have failed. Very upset carlinkit does not even respond! I bought both the listed item here and the tbox and while the dumb auto Bluetooth both works for wireless connectivity, the smarter tbox is a brick losing all smart functionality and 0% response from support. Invest in another brand!!!

Connection Issues
This was the second Wireless Android Auto device I had purchased. When first setting up and using it, I was very happy and pleased with how quickly it connected. It worked great all for one part of it. Every few minutes (sometimes sooner, sometimes longer), there would be several connection "glitches" in a row. It's almost as if there were temporary Bluetooth connection problems. It was very annoying to experience when you are listening to music. It could have just been my specific device, but after the first drive, it happened every time.

Works slowly for a bit... Then disconnects without fail
There is a considerable lag between inputs on the car screen or buttons pressed on the steering wheel, and then it suddenly disconnects anytime you use it for more that 5 minutes. Total garbage, should not be sold on Amazon. Additionally, their troubleshooting videos are sent as a link to a Google drive file. Pretty sketchy company.
