I'm very impressed at the features of this meat thermometer! It's waterproof (so you can rinse off grease from the handle), it reads the temperature within 4 seconds (fast response), and it's calibratable with ice water! I also like how the power is controlled by folding and unfolding the probe. I think that's clever design, no need to deal with a probe cover. The handle is nice and ergonomic. Overall the unit looks very sleek and modern.My old thermometer made by ThermoWorks from a few years back which I bought for twenty dollars has died and this thermometer is my replacement. That thermometer took 10 seconds to read and it was not calibratable.I'm so glad this thermometer has way more features at almost half the price! I just cooked chicken with it and it works great. No need to buy a thermometer that costs more.

I've used this thermometer sparingly for less than a year. Today when I went to clean the tip the entire metal part pulled out of the case and I realized that somehow the plastic around the tip had broken. It was not dropped or otherwise abused. It seems that the plastic had gotten "fatiqued" and given up the ghost. I paid less than half of what it is now selling for and I wouldn't pay that much again so I would say it is certainly not worth it's current price.

Very good meat thermometer. Reads quickly and accurately. I was worried that the temperature might have been off after I calibrated it a couple of times, but so far all of my meat has been cooked perfectly to temp. Would definitely recommend to anyone who cooks poultry or roasts often. I do like that the ideal temperatures for meat are listed on the thermometer itself, and that it turns on and off when you open or close the needle. The hold function is nice too, though seems a bit unnecessary (though I could see how it would be beneficial.

Was cleaning like I always do by wiping the probe off and it came off in my hand, I never abuse my kitchen equipment and even though it was cheap in price I would not expect this to happen. I have tried to contact the seller, not sure they are even in business anymore on Amazon or maybe they changed their name. I like the way it worked except for it breaking.

Worked great until it died about 1 year after I purchased it. This uses a CR2032 button battery -- easy to replace, which I did once during the year but this time it died and even a fresh battery wouldn't bring it back to life. Was very easy to use and the backlight feature was handy. Too bad it didn't last longer at this price.

My wife used it to cook a turkey, and she said it worked very well. However, I specifically bought this to take the temperature of a cast iron griddle while it's heating up. That did not work well at all. Seems it like it never reached a stable temperature reading.

One of the best handheld electronic thermometers I've ever owned. Love it in every way - long probe, easy automatic on/off by extending and retracting the probe. Large easy to read display and most importantly accurate and fast reads. While it may not be the best or most durable - for the money it does a bang up job.

Enjoyable to use. Much easier to read than past thermometers from other manufacturers that I have had. Backlighting is handy. I especially appreciate the cooking temperature guidelines printed right on the device so I don't have to go look them up on my phone every time or try to read tiny print on a label.
