Excellent program for learning Bridge strategies
I have spent hours learning from this program. You can read a lesson (on bidding, playing trump, playing no trump, using take out doubles, ducking, playing conventions, etc) and then do exercises with the computer dealing you cards. When you finish the exercise, you are told you played your hand correctly if you did or it points out where you went wrong and gives you an opportunity to replay the hand and get it right. This program had definitely improved my game!

Yes and No
I would think it would be good for someone who whats to advance their knowledge of the more advanced bidding conventions, etc. but at this time of my life i was just looking just for playing the game for enjoyment and have another program that does that. When I have a few extra spare minutes I play a rubber to relax and enjoyment. While you can to that with this program, I prefer a more simple format of Hoyle card game program.

Makes a poor partner
I like playing bridge with people. I consider myself to be one of the better players in my bridge group. I used to use Hoyle for practice and to keep my card counting skills sharp. The problem with Hoyle is that the defense is weak, so you will get 1 to 2 extra tricks on each contract. This teaches you to over bid your hand.I play what used to be called "Standard American" and is now known a "Yellow Card". I assumed I could set this convention for myself and my computer partner.Nope.Go To Bridge uses infuriating bidding conventions. For example, If I double a 1 club opener (takeout) and my partner has 5 diamonds to the ace, I expect a 1 diamond response. Instead I get a 2 club bid meaning either a control in clubs or no available bid (according to the explanation on the right of the screen). So we end up in no trump and get 5 club tricks ripped off the top, because my partner had a worthless doubleton in clubs!?!Defense is no better. On the rare occasions I get a defensive crossruff going my partner may stop, before either one of us runs out of trump. Also, my partner NEVER tries to set up a finesse for me, and IGNORES high-low signals. After each hand, the program compares how your bidding and playing to the computer expert "Argentine".I thought I was going to learn something here. Nope, I could have made one more trick if I had finessed for the jack on trick 2, or if I had finessed for the king to my ace-queen while leading from a singleton on the board, etc. In short the advice is correct, but not helpful.Occasionally the program locks up in the middle of a hand.Do not waste your money.

Excellent Bridge Learning Tool
I am not a very good bridge player, and have only had this for a few weeks so I cannot judge exactly how well it plays. There are a few things I like about this bridge software: The sowftware easily explains the meaning of one bid over another. It reminds me of the implication of a bid, what are the number of points needed to bid and what is the convention used. If I bid something that it finds objectionable, it warns me and provides the means for me to see what should have been the correct bid. The software has lessons with a quiz. Finally, after I have finished playing my cards, it tells me how I have done and indicates what other moves would have been better! I have the choice of playing it from that point on!I have used one other bridge program, which I also like, I'd buy this one over it.On the negative side: So far, the software has crashed a couple of times on my computer. Worked OK after rebooting. I find that there are times when getting to the next deal I am forced to go through unnecessary clicks. This can be annoying and should easily be fixed. I have found one occasion when it gave me bad advice on the bidding, but I grant that was unusual. As improvement suggestions: It displays the high cards total points, the software should also display the point count from singletons, voids or similar items. It would be nice if it also displayed the number of losers, which, provides another insight into the bidding process.Overall I like it a like, a lot!!!

A "Just Your Computer" Bridge Game, Please.
This requires internet connection. It's OK, I guess for somebody's needs but not mine. I have a 20 year old Seitek hand bridge game that runs on batteries, no computer in sight, and is just as competitive, just as informative if you know bridge as this game, but is 100X simpler to just operate and play.Stupid me. I didn't realize this was just another net-connected (but for no good apparent reason, btw) game.My laptop/55" monitor is 9' away from my chair, operated by remote mouse & keyboard. The text is too small and too pale to see. Useless.

Great bridge software.
This is a terrific piece of software. It is French made and I was first introduced to it by my French cousin. The US version is just as good. Bridgers will really like it.

Mediocre product
Spacing of cards is ridiclosly insofficient even on the wide space choice, hard on the eye. In fact the whole product, although I have a large monitor is hard on the eye.

One Star
Didn't like anything about it. The layout or the bidding.
