Q: How can I know that this has same hyper-Hepa capabilities as original?

You can't know if any manufacturer's claim about their product is truthful without a laboratory. How do we know ifvIQair's claims are true? In short, the filter doesn't seem to be shoddy or any kind of rip off. It seems to be as they claim. I did a very unscientific and subjective test. I put the thing in a medium-sized room I was cleaning and redoing and turned it on high and shut the door. Not to test it, just as I would normally do. It cleared the dust out of the air and made it breathable again in under two ours. So it worked like an OEM filter worked. I can't vouch for it's ability to remove micro particles. But for my purposes, I couldn't tell the difference. Caveat: it didn't seem to fit exactly the same in the unit, but my girlfriend has a unit with an IQair Hepa filter in it and I saw it didn't quite fit either so I may have just been looking for differences.
