Q: Can this be used to mount an outside security camera?

Exactly what I used it for; however this one is still sitting on my counter and never returned but it is for the larger 4" siding. I had to order again and get the one made for 3". Q: How do you install this? Are there instructions anywhere?

Installation of this is not bad at all. Drill pilot holes first both through the plastic and siding. Then just drill your screws through both, taking care not to over tighten as this could break your siding. When your securing your block to your siding, you will be able to tell when to stop tightening the screws when your siding begins to bend. Hope this helps!
