If you don't have to catalog very specific materials, will perfectly work for you
It is exactly what the title states: a reduced version of the Anglo American Cataloguing Rules.I think that for public libraries, school libraries, etc. it is more than enough. If you don't need to catalog maps, or very specific materials, it suits the needs of many librarians.

Four Stars
This can be difficult to navigate, but it's much handier than trying to read the actual AACR2.

Pre-MARC Pinnacle
Pinnacle of the heyday of pre-MARC cataloging. Easy explanations of key rules of AACR2 with real-life samples of their use.

It was supposed to be here already.
I have never had a problem with Amazon purchases, so I did hesitate to "rent" this textbook to complete a class. I am on a deadline, and the book that was supposed to be here Friday still has shown up (Saturday night). I'm in some serious trouble, and yes, I shouldn't have waited. Not happy with this purchase at all.

The Concise AACR2 / Michael Gorman. - 4th ed. -
This book is well written and easy to follow. There is plenty of room to add your own notes, and high-light text for exam purposes.I live in Australia and was impressed by the speed of the shipping, two weeks earlier than expected.

Cataloging rules in plain language
Michael Gorman, one of the primary writers of Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, 2nd Revision, has summarized the rules in simple English so they can be used by relatively untrained personnel in small, uncomplicated catalogs. The cataloging described in Concise AACR2 is compatable with the larger work and will allow users to grow into more complex cataloging when their skill increases.
