Wireless Charger Receiver IGOUKJ Ultra Slim Portable Endurable Narrow Interface Up Positive Wireless Charging Receiver for Universal Android Micro USB Port Phone (Positive Direction Type A Receiver)

As soon as I received this unit I attached it to a voltmeter and placed it on top of a quality Qi Charger. Nothing. I moved the receiver around until I got some reading, but the best it would do was 4.88V (should be 5.00) and with no load. I then played around with the position again to try to see if it would put out 5V in any position. No. 4.88 was the max and, to get that, I had to place the bare receiver right on top of the Qi Charger. It should work with even 10mm gap with no load. I did try flipping the receiver over to see if the labels had been put on backward but I got no voltage in that case. Dead. Returned to Amazon for refund. Won't buy from this supplier again.

The reviews here seem to mention 2 different products, a qi charging pad and a qi adapter for non-qi phones/tablets. To be clear I am talking about the qi adapter as pictured in my photos.The adapter is not a uniform thickness, in fact its actually quite lumpy in places and you can feel the components under the plastic cover. The product description says 1.3mm thick but I checked with my calipers and it's more like 2.3mm at its thickest point. This made it hard to install nicely inside the case I was using; the case had an uneven peaked appearance. I have other adapters that are the same thickness all over and these look much nicer when installed because deformation of the case is uniform and there is no asymmetry to draw the eye.The charging power was ok; it did charge my device in a reasonable time. However, it took longer by comparison to charge the device than other adapters I already have (ones which are also rated for the same 5V 1000mA output as this adapter).The cable seems fairly robust; the plastic coating is the kind of plastic that doesn't really tear easily, so a fair bit of rough handling during installation was not a problem.It was very cheap though.

THE GOOD:Installation was so intuitive a child would have no problem figuring it out. And after hookup, the receiver does provide power to the battery.THE BAD:The fit behind the back cover is very tight on the Galaxy S5. The user may want to purchase a neoprene dust cover type of backing to provide a little more space for the receiver. Also, the power output is only 5w/1000mah. That means it will take about about 5 hours to charge a Galaxy S5 from 20% to 100%. About right for that phone, but very slow by today's standards.THE UGLY:The Galaxy S5 has always had a battery heat problem as in nears maximum charge. This wireless receiver seems to exacerbate the problem making the battery heat up so much as to significantly reduce its useful life.The long charge time was bad enough, but the overheating problem was so bad that I was forced to stop using this wireless charger to protect my phone.

Installation was perfectly easy. Open the back of the phone, and align the receiver with the battery, followed with putting the backing to the phone again. For less than a $15 investment, yes it is worth the gamble.the one turn-off I have about the item is where the charging process causes a good amount of heat. It's not enough to burn or anything, but it is distinctly noticeable if you interrupt the charging process. this is the only reason I give a total of 4 stars for the product as opposed to the full 5.With my phone, it might be the case of snagging a fluke, but somewhere along the way, I noticed 2 things. One is that I could turn on the phone's wi-fi and the charging process enable just as equally with the bluetooth, which is what the directions say to utilize. In any event, eventually I set my phone on the charger without turning either wifi or the bluetooth on and it charges. I'm not sure whether to regard this as a concern, or just a good coincidence. I'll take what luck can be had. Thank you!

There was a little confusion about receiving this receiver as well as another one that I ordered. I order a type A receiver for one phone and a type B receiver for another phone. They came separately on different days......the one that was supposed to be a type B was actually a type A. However, a day or two later, when I received the other receiver, it was the type B that I needed and not the type A that was shown on the order. I was afraid that I'd end up with two type A's but it all worked out nicely and my stress was for nothing.I ordered these as part of Christmas gifts for my grandchildren. Their phones are not QI enabled and I wanted them to work with the wireless charging pads that I purchased for them. I installed one of the receivers on my phone to test it with the charging pad and it seems to be working perfectly. Yea!I am a 77 year old grandma, so, if I had no problem, they must be simple to use. There were no instruction in the little plastic bags that the receivers came in, but I had watch a couple of videos about how to QI enable a cell phone and that made it easy. The main thing to be careful about is ordering the correct A or B type receiver that your phone needs.

having the cable dead center keeps it from sitting as intended, in my current phone and every android I have ever handled. and the cable is to fragile to survive putting the cover back on the phone. I can probably fix those using my creative thinking, computer, and 3d printer, but I shouldn't need to, and that is no guarantee the rest is functional.

Wroks well on multiple android phones...Samsung and LG models. can install and uninstall multiple times. Just goes in next to the battery inside the phone back cover. The plug to flat wire connection is very delicate and easily broken unless it is carefully plugged and unplugged without putting stress on wire. Inexpensive and provides inexpensive alternative of Qi wireless charging with a generic charger

Works great. Just plug it into my tablet and set my tablet in my wireless charger. First one I bought stopped working after three weeks. Hopefully this one will last longer. It didn't. Worked just long enough to outlast the return window. More trouble than it's worth. Going to try to find something better. Don't buy this junk.
