If you like the creaminess of zinc but don’t want something as brittle or transparent and you don’t want something as opaque as titanium white lead is the way to go! Comments about its toxicity our way over-exaggerated. Basically, as long as you don’t eat the paint, it should be fine. I cover my canvases in some sort of varnish too so there’s little chance of any flaking off.

This is a good transparent paint for creating vapor, fog, and feathers. Just a tiny drop of medium and dry brush it on.

Very nice quality. Mixes well with my old world colors of various brand names. I am happy with this white.

Michael Harding? Just some Brit. I couldn’t care less! What about the PRODUCT? It’s poorly made, VERY poorly made. I’ve seen video after next of this soupy, wet, sloppy mess coming from the tube. What's worse? It’s not white. Yes, I know what PW1 is. It’s NOT white, but rather grey! And worse, still? Watch a video on White yellowing. This particular tube ranks #1 in yellowing! I believe the reason Michael Harding doesn't call this "lead white" is because it's cover. Paid far, far too much for it and to compensate, I won't purchase any Michael Harding again. That's the best I can do.

Old Holland cremnitz is far more buttery and easy to work with.

Nothing else to say, works as it should.

Michael Harding oils are great and this is no exception. Will buy again.
