This unit was defective on arrival. I tested it on a plant that I watered in the a.m. and the unit read dry. Sticking my finger into the pot, the plant was obviously wet. Amazon was great - gave me a credit immediately. I won't be rebuying this unit.

Amazon famous quick delivery is right on the money. My meter was defective, awaiting a replacement. Tested against two that I have had for years, and it was way, way off. Saturated soil bearly read dry on meter. Another revew coming.

Only had it for a week and so far so good.Ordered another one that is also workingUpdate. The first one stopped working,(when ground moist still showed almost dry.). Amazon replaced and that one is working.I was leaving them in the ground, I read on the instructions on the (3 way meter with 2 prongs) not to leave them in the ground,But to remove and clean the prongs after each use. That might have been the problem with the one that stopped working properly?To bad I would like meters that can be left in the ground.
