Such a great watch, lovely steel case
Such a great watch, lovely steel case, numerals and face are very attractive and legible. Tritium tubes make for excellent night legibility and super cool to top that. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Updated Review
It's been 3 months now that I've had the watch. Absolutely love the tritium luminescence, and the sapphire crystal has proven to be much better than any other crystals I've had. I've gotten used to the thickness of the watch, but still wish it were thinner. Now the bad news; I'm on my 2nd, soon to be 3rd watch! I noted the 1st one had condensation inside the crystal one day after a month or so. Contacted Marathon support, quick response with instructions to return it. That part was satisfactory - very easy to work with and helpful. Received the replacement watch a couple weeks ago and yesterday noticed condensation inside the crystal again. ARgghh! Reached out to support, quick response and instructions and return shipping label again. Hopefully, 3rd time's a charm and I'll get a watch that actually lives up to what is advertised. Too damn expensive to have this problem and then go without a watch for a couple weeks waiting on replacement every month and a half. MARATHON - You Listening? There's something wrong with your assembly. Don't ship me another defective watch please. I'd love to like this watch - there's a lot to like. Was considering buying one for my son. Nope, not now I ain't. Not till I know I won't gift him frustration. The only reason I left 2 stars on this is due to the support team - great job Joe. Otherwise, it's been an expensive and frustrating exercise for a watch that should otherwise be great.Original review below4 stars for functionality and 3 for the form factor. I spent a career in the Marines and was first issued a watch in the early 80’s. Back the. They were still using radioactive paint for the lamination and they were great watches. These tritium watches are just as bright. Band is very similar as well, though shorter. While these may be mil-spec, the spec may have changed. The second hand stops when setting the time, but you can’t set the second as you would need to sync the watch with someone else’s. No luminescence on the second hand either. (Lose a star on the rating). The vertical height of the watch is a real bummer, it’s nearly twice as tall as all military analog watches I’ve worn causing an a gap between the band and your arm near where the band exits the watch. This is as tall as a dive watch, though smaller diameter. Going through brush, this can cause hang ups. (Lose 2 stars).

Beyond my expectations!
I was looking for a new watch to use at work - I'm an auto technician, so it needed to be tough. Figured I'd look at some military spec watches. Came across this one, and it seemed to fit the bill nicely for a rugged watch. I really liked the idea of a smaller watch, very simple and easy to read. This watch has not disappointed! It's a refreshingly smaller sized watch, I find it very attractive (I have Sage Green), and my two favorite features are how easy the dial is to read under virtually any circumstances, and the excellent and bright tritium tubes for night time reading of the dial. I have only had it for a short time so durability has not been proven with me yet. So far, it's taken everyday use and abuse at work without even a scratch, seems like it will be very durable. The time is accurate, rechecked it after several days, still within one second of GMT time website. The watch and band are extremely comfortable, I forget I'm even wearing a watch, super lightweight. I sleep and shower with the watch every day. If you are looking for a heavier watch, look elsewhere. I have not experienced any of the issues with water entry or tritium tubes coming loose. So far it seems extremely well made. The quality is impressive. I could not decide between the Sage Green, and the Desert Tan...I love this watch so much, I went ahead and got a Desert Tan one to wear on weekends! Oh, and shipping was very quick, FedEx from Canada, only took a couple of days to MD, USA (I opted for the faster shipping). Couldn't be happier with my purchase so far!
