The only option, but thankfully a good one
Let's be honest; if you're looking for a new 6v tail light, especially an LED unit or one that integrates the turn signals, this is basically your only choice. As far as I know, this is the only newly manufactured 6v tail light available. I wanted to use it for a couple of weeks before I reviewed it, but fortunately I can report that my results have been good. Everything works as it should and the lights are very bright and visible. I soldered it into my wiring harness and it worked with my 1980 Honda XL250s electrical system right off the bat. The blinkers blink and the brake light operates properly with my brake switch. It is also very sleek and attractive. In my opinion it is an excellent buy for the price. I have decided to convert my bike to 12v, and I will replace this with more conventional lights and signals when I do. However, it will keep me operating safely and legally in the meantime.

Eventually stops working
I’ve bought three of these so far, and all three have eventually failed. The first one I bought stopped working just a few days after I got it, so I was able to return it for a new one. Eventually, that stopped working too. So I bought another one, and now this one stopped working (one turn signal light is out, taillight stopped working) and the return window is closed. Love the look of the light, but wish it would work or at least be cheaper.

Other than that it’s super bright and well made
This is a badass taillight. Does tail, brake and indicators. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because when you have the indicator on and hit the brakes you can’t tell if the indicator is even on. Other than that it’s super bright and well made. Super easy to wire up as well

Lights work as described on my 76 Honda XL175. Got rid of the huge rear light and attached this to the rear hoop. Now if only I could find a relay to work for the signal lights.::Update::Its only been a week or so and now the red running lights are too dim for day use visibility. Also hard to see during the day unless you tap the brakes to be noticed. Really wanted to like this LED.

Wiring
Seems like the brake light overrides the turn signals. When I have this wired up, engaging my brakes wipes out my turn signals. So it is both turn signals left and right, OR brake light. Not both at the same time which is pointless. Unless I'm wiring this incorrectly? You can't have a turn signal blinking and brakes at the same time.

Does not work on 6v. Has to have 12v to work.
Doesn’t work on 6v. I bought it to run on an old 6v motorcycle and it doesn’t work on 6v.

Very well made and good instructions. thanks
I added two of these to my 63 Porsche 356B-T6. I onstalled one in each engine grill as a HMSL. I wired each to their respective brake lights. Now both come on when I brake. But each blinks individually with their correspondence tail light to indicate my turn. Especially like that these are designed to work for 6 volt.

Be wary
Failed after three weeks. Thankfully it was still under Amazon's return time. The wires are super thin forcing you to solder the connections if you want ant kind of decent connection. I would think the seller AND Amazon would ensure a decent product was being sold/shipped considering it's a safety device. When working, the light was bright. I only used the tail/brake light as I had it mounted vertical
