Does the iPhone's ringtone come through the Jabra, or does it alert with its own tone?

If the Jabra is connected via Bluetooth you hear the iPhone ringtones through the Jabra on incoming calls. You can also use Siri with this device by holding down the talk button until you get the familiar Siri tones.

CAN I leave it pluged  into my cigarette lighter all the time.

Petros, Most normal lithium-ion batteries (including the one in this device) can stay on their charger indefinitely (because they stop charging when they reach a peak voltage of about 4.15vDC to 4.20vDC at which point electricity stops flowing in to the battery). So, the device's battery will *typically* not be harmed by staying on a charger continuously. High temperatures (e.g: from being parked in the sun) plays a much bigger role in reducing the battery life.On the vehicle side of this situation, if your car's power port (aka: lighter socket) turns off when the car is off, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with leaving it plugged in all the time. And, even if your car's power port IS on when the car is off, it would take a long time (many weeks, at least, assuming that the USB power adapter isn't extraordinarily inefficient) for it to drain your car's battery enough that it would not start.So the only time you'd really need to unplug this is if your car's power port IS on when the car is off, and you're going to park the car for a few months. In that case, you need to unplug the USB adapter from your car's power socket, not the other end of the usb cable from device.

phonebook capable?

Phone book works with my iPhone 4. If I say " call mom" it calls the number I have in my phone listed for my mom. :) however it does not tell me whose calling, I have to look at my phone screen

Will the unit come out of sleep mode when you enter the car with your Bluetooth device .thank you

This is the worst feature I really hate. It reconnects automatically only if you return to your car within 10 min. Otherwise, you have to turn it off and then turn it on again to get it reconnected. It would be fine if you could turn it on/off easily by using the big button at front, but no, you have to use the tiny slider at side which make me angry each time I have to do it (often times, I forgot to turn it on when I got into the car until I hear the incoming call, then I tried to turn it on). For this reason, I would not recommend this unit to anybody.
