Delicious short bread cookies that have become a family Christmas tradition.

Arrived and opened to find they were all completely broken. No option to return.

A friend who lives in Scotland recommended these shortbreads to me, saying they were crunchier than a different popular shortbread brand that comes in a red plaid package. She was right! These M&S shortbreads have a good butter taste and are definitely crunchier than other shortbread cookies I have munched on. These cookies are large and thick so that one cookie is filling with a cup of tea. Frankly, I break a cookie in half and am just as satisfied for a sweet treat in the afternoon. The tin arrived with a few broken cookies inspite of some packing inside the tin and a lot of padding in the shipping box. I don’t think breakage can be totally avoided due to the fragile nature of the cookies. The taste and crunch make it worth a few broken cookies. And I think the tin will come in handy after all the cookies are eaten. M&S, if you are reading this, do you offer shortbread refill packs for the tin?

All the cookies were broken when received

My husband likes to try any shortbread he finds. I try and buy a new brand from overseas for every birthday or Christmas. He told me, after three or four years of this now, that the search was over! It’s packaged well, the tin is reusable, and most importantly the shortbread is divine!

This are a fantastic cookie, I am addicted since getting a tin for Christmas in 2022.
