I chose a 20x with the intention of using it as a travel makeup mirror, which I would advise others against. You have to hold it so close to your face that it makes using makeup applicators a challenge. 20x is great if you actually wanted to see all those little hairs that you didn't know were growing on your face, but not great for makeup application.The quality of the mirror itself is fine, would highly recommend it, just put some thought into which magnification you order.

This mirror is the perfect size for travel. Has a nice stand attached. Takes up very little space and is very durable.

For the microscopic tiny life that we live in our tiny van, this mirror is perfect for use in our bathroom! The handle can be used to hang it up, or prop it on a table. The 3X magnification means that I can see the DNA that makes up the skin cells on my face. It’s amazing!

I bought this for travelling and the magnifying side of the mirror is SO magnified, it’s kind of hard to do my make up because I have to get so close to it. It’s also really small but it’s good if you need to see REALLY up close. It’s free standing so it’s good for plucking eyebrows but not great for doing make up.

If you've never used a 20x magnifying mirror before, you might want to sit down during your first time. You will see pores, hairs, wrinkles, veins, and spots you didn't even know you had. Due to the nature of optical physics, it needs to be about 6 inches from the face for ideal resolution.I use it for tweezing face hairs and doing eye & lip makeup. I like that it's a smaller mirror, so it fits in my little bathroom drawer with my cosmetics. Even though I don't use the feature, the handle bends both ways to create a stand as well as make it compact for travel. Love it!

I have perfect vision for distance. But to see up close, I have a hard time putting on my eyeliner. This mirror is just what I needed for traveling.

So handy to have a makeup mirror with high magnerfaction for us girls shoes eye are not quie as sharp as they used to be.
