Surprisingly good for the price.
After reading mixed reviews, I thought for a fiver ish id give it ago. First thought when opening was that this is never going to be waterproof. So, after filling, I submerged one for a day. Worked perfectly.My only small gripe would be that the gas adjustment is incredibly sensitive and you have to spend some time finding the sweet spot. Over all, excellent product and cheap.

Doesn't light for more than a second!
Filled it up as per instructions, but although it lights, it only stays alight for less than a second and hoes out, totally useless.

Gas guzzler but handy
Goes through gas like no lighter I’ve ever had in more than 30 years of needing a cigarette lighter. However it’s a very light, easy to ignite (even with arthritic hands), plus the lanyard is extremely useful.Beware of the height of the flame & KEEP IT AWAY FROM YOUR FACE IF USING TO LIGHT CIGARETTES!

Simple to set up, simple to use, it's a great lighter
Wow, it's a hot flame and there is two of them :) Camp fires & BBQ's will be a breeze from now on.I followed the steps to get it set up properly.1). It arrives empty. No gas, that is the law so be aware you will need to buy gas as well. Spend a pound more and get good gas!2). Fill it up half way, never completely full. The liquid gas needs space to settle.3). After filling, let it stand for 10 mins. The liquid gas needs time to settle.4). If it does not ignite, give it a little shake to get the gas moving.5). You can adjust the flame intensity by turning the tiny screw in the gas refill hole.6). Don't let your friends use it, they wont give it back.I'm very happy with this windproof lighter

Good but uses gas very quickly.
I can't fault how well it works, but it does burn through lighter fluid at an astonishing rate. Needs refilling every couple of weeks, as opposed to several months that all my other jet lighters seem to last.

The flame is a bit wild
It's a well presented lighter but it's too powerful for its own good. The flame cant be set to a low enough level to prevent it blazing away. When you do set it to a lower level it didn't light.I'd suggest spending a few quid more and getting a better product.

Sets fire to things really well.
The clip to keep the lid shut is a nice touch, and it's interesting being able to look inside it to see how full it is. No more guessing whether it's going to run out half way through a trip.

Feuerzeug statt Bunsenbrenner
Ich rauche gern (meine Frau meint: viel zu viel). Und genau dafür benutze ich den Flammenwerfer NICHT (immer). Da ist mir die gute akte BIC-Flamme lieber (weil sorgenfrei und berechenbare, gut sichtbare Flammenhöhe).Ich benutze es natürlich trotzdem auch zum Rauchen, aber als besonders nützlich empfinde ich den Einsatz z. B. um die Schnittenden von starken Bootsseilen zu "verschweißen" und das schelle Erhitzen von größeren Schrumpfschläuchen.Von daher: TOP!!!So, jetzt gehe ich eine rauchen....
