Would you make the same choices?
This is everything I look for in a book. It's very aptly named; a beautiful, gripping story about the worries of motherhood, difficult choices, love, sacrifices, memory. It made me believe in love, it made me interested in even the crime aspect of the story (and I'm never interested in the crime aspect of the story). The twists blew my mind for hours, the way the story unfolds as she moves backwards in time reveals just the right amount, and the little details she forgets is beautifully illustrated. There's even a plausible explanation at the end for how this might've happened! The book made me cherish my family all the more deeply, made me feel like every moment is temporary and could so easily be changed, although perhaps take that with a grain of salt because I happened to start my period the same day.Overall beautiful book that made me consider life again, that tells mothers it's okay not to be perfect, that has fully fleshed out, realistic characters making what they believe to be the right choices for the right reasons.

Absorbing Novel but Confusing
This novel includes time travel in a unique way, backwards. A mom is trying to change the present and to do so, she has to travel to the past. I liked the story, but I didn’t love it as I was totally befuddled for about three fourths of the book. Once I got into the groove of Jen constantly waking up in an earlier time frame daily, then the present confused me when she returned there. There are a plethora of events and people to remember, such that I needed to keep a spreadsheet but didn’t know that until I was too far into the novel to keep one. This is a good read but not a solidly entertaining one since it was a cerebral exercise for me to keep up with what was happening and to whom. Disclaimer: I checked out a copy of this book from my local library using the Libby App and all opinions expressed are my own.

My Favorite Book of 2024!
Wrong Place Wrong Time is hands down my favorite book of 2024! Without giving too much away, it was such an interesting and captivating read. The time jumps in the story really reminded me of the butterfly effect, where small changes lead to big consequences. It kept me hooked from start to finish. Everyone I’ve recommended it to has loved it as well and has passed it along to their friends. If you're looking for a unique and thought-provoking story, I highly recommend this one!

Journey to the past to save the future. A mother's desperate quest.
Jen, a typical wife, mother, and lawyer, finds herself in an unimaginable situation when she witnesses her teenage son, Todd, commit a murder right before her eyes. The next morning, desperate to save him, she wakes up to find herself reliving the previous day. Realizing she's caught in a time loop, Jen embarks on a journey to uncover the events leading up to the crime, hoping to rewrite the past and prevent the tragedy. The concept of time travel intertwined with moral dilemmas and the mystery of altering the past initially drew me to the book. However, as the story progressed, I felt it fell short of delivering the suspense and unpredictability I anticipated in a thriller. Jen's quest to rescue her son begins with great promise, but the revelations she uncovers—such as the truth about her husband's identity and her father's past wrongdoings—did not carry the tension or emotional stakes I had hoped for. The narrative lacked the gripping twists and edge-of-your-seat moments that define the thriller genre, leaving me expecting a resolution that ultimately played out predictably. While the premise is intriguing and the exploration of personal and familial secrets adds depth, the execution could benefit from stronger pacing and heightened suspense to truly captivate readers. Overall, the book presented an interesting take on time travel but missed the mark as a thrilling journey.

Very unique novel on time travel.
This is a rather difficult novel to write a review for. Usually, the novels I have read regarding time travel are really sci-fi. I am not saying this book is not, it is just a different variety of time travel. The book summary tells us that the protagonist (Jen - the mother) witnesses her son commit a murder. After waking up the next day, she finds out she has woken a day before the murder. Every day she goes to sleep, she wakes up further in the past. She believes this is a way for her to prevent the murder from happening. For me, this story was a little slow, and although I could tell the author was slowly putting the pieces together, I didn’t feel the deep desire (or hook) that made me want to learn more. However, I can say that by the end of the book the entire mystery came together nicely, and the whole novel made sense and was quite interesting.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that likes sci-fi, time travel, mysteries, suspense and over all a family love story…
